How come destiny pvp isn't esport worthy?
I'm dying to read the comments because I bet I know why.

If you're asking why doesn't Destiny 2 have officially licensed big-budget arena-filling Spectacles like League of Legends, then it's simply because Bungie doesn't want to invest in the tens of millions of required advertising to get such a scene running.

given that when they do reveals for new content they get sometimes up to 500k viewers, it would benefit them and rake in some money.
Also unless they introduce a mode where there are generic loadouts, the RNG nature of weapons and armor, and the unbalanced nature of exotics, would not be fun to watch or understand for the casual viewer. if you look at Sweats tournaments, there are a lot of rules of what is allowed in terms of weapons, classes, sub classes, armor stats, exotics, etc.

Because there's more to Destiny 2 than PvP.

People always say this and yet it's as balanced as League of Legends is: some things are good, some things are not, some things are optimal, some things are less optimal, which is which shifts with each patch.
That is a terrible comparison. Destiny has randomly generated weaponry, while League is the same for everyone. Destiny also has a much harder meta. In League, even lower tier characters can be useful, however in Destiny, outside of a few godroll situations and a small handful of exotics, if you aren't using a Hand Cannon, Pulse Rifle, or Shotgun, your weapons are next to useless

And yet despite running Vig Wing and Deicide you still are at a 16.3% win rate and bottom 9% k/d in Trials. People go flawless running Rat King and a Bow, or Monte + Bottom Tree Gunslinger, hell some people even do it with Skyburners. Some weapons are meta yes but if youre good enough at the game you can go flawless with just about anything, just like in League. Meanwhile, if you're bad at the game, even high-tier PvP god roll weapons mean nothing, just like S-Tier champions on any current patch can't actually carry you, it depends on your ability to play them effectively.

If you have a PvP-oriented loadout, you can succeed in Crucible, even Trials. It all just depends on your own skill at the game.
I Swear to god, It's like when anyone has an opposing opinion than you, you run right to their PVP statistics and bring that up, He's talking about pretty much a broad majority of the meta right now, even though I don't particularly agree with it since auto's and fusions can be pretty decent in the right hands.

By the way, before you go and bring up my crucible statistics, I'm not good at crucible, I'm just aware of what the meta weapons are that are more effective in combat or easier to pick up and use and be decent with.

When somebody tries to claim an objective truth about how PvP works that is factually incorrect and then has statistics that show they have absolutely no idea what they’re doing or how to play PvP to even the most basic level of competency, then that matter of fact becomes relevant information. If you don’t know how to play, then don’t try to act like you do.
although i agree with you, being less of a ♥♥♥♥ with your wording would go a long way

because the guns have RPG rolls and everyones loadout isnt standardized. d2 pvp will never be as good as halo because of the rpg aspect.

because supers for titans and warlocks lasts long enough to kill an entire team 2.5x before it ends.

dawnblade is the stupidest thing in pvp right now.

at launch they tried to make it into one, they made pvp 4v4 only, made combat slower, ability cooldowns longer, made map "call outs" a thing, capture points took 2 times longer to capture, remade Trials of Osiris into Trials of the Nine instead, removed random perk rolls on weapons and armor and just generally made PVP too "hardcore", a lot of players specially vets hated the changes (I kinda liked it though except the static perk weapons) so Bungo made changes again.

there are some small tournaments here and there tho I think??

It's just not worthy for that. Plain and simple.

Some of us are just past the part already where we take things as for they are. There have been enough pvp complaints by now from people who are at the bottom barrel of the game, especially when it's another 'hurr this to OP that to OP plz nerf durr' post made by someone who has like 0.35 k/d.. People in the community are just tired of it.
