How to increase the power level?

I'm at 1222 and I have no idea of what I can do right now to increase my power level. I've read online that you can do so by earning pinnacle gear that you get from the weekly challenges. I've already done all the weekly challenges except for 3 (100k team score in vanguard which I can't do since I need to play master at least, trials of osiris since I don't have a team or gear to be remotely competitive and that Prophecy dungeon since It's impossible solo and I have no one to do that with).

Is there something I can do to increase my power level aside from that?
If not, what else could I do in the game while I wait for the next week?

playing the core playlists will drop 'powerful' rewards over time, so the strike, crucible and gambit playlists. also make sure you have done any activity that gives out powerful rewards as well as the pinnacle ones, for example the rewards for completing 8 tower vendor bounties, or 8 of Varik's bounties.

until you reach 1250 you can advance getting powerful, not neccecearily pinnacle gear.

Powerful gear drops via the afromentioned weekly challanges, but can also be acquired by doing 8 bounties per week for vanguard/crucible/gambit/gunsmith and there is a random drop chance to recieve and engram containing powerful gear. Upon reaching level 1250 "powerful gear" will no longer increase your level.

Pinnacle gear is used for increasing your light level beyond 1250 and is acquireable only in endgame activities like prophecy dungeon, raids and trials. (also iron banner bounties i think?).

Yeah as I said I've already done that weekly stuff, bounties too. Don't know what else I should do now.

Ok So first of all you want to use all 3 character slots, you can do the same class but most people do one of each. Now the only way for you to progress further in your light level is to get (Powerful Engrams) These come from all Weekly Activities and quests, your going to collect these until your 1250, Once your 1250 the only way for you to get the last 10 light lvls is too get (Pinnacle Engram) which only drop from the hardest weekly content.

But there is a trick to all of this, whatever Character you want to be your highest level (Main) You wanna do all the weekly content LAST on this Character, Lets say you main your Titan , Ok? SO what your going to do is do the weekly content on your Warlock and Hunter first, that way when you do your weeklies on your titan they will be (Powerful Engrams Tier 3) meaning the pieces you get will be the highest possible upgrade at your current light..

Having a clan or friends to play with can also make this ALOT faster. Once you have done ALL of your weeklies and you have nothing left to do for the week, Farm Season of the Hunt on Tangled Shore and Nightmare hunts on the Moon, if you havn't done the quests you'll have to but at 1220 none of it should be to hard..

There are other ways to do it, but these are the faster paths, you can farm 1220 nightfalls also but that is the LONG LONG road... Don't forget that your artifact is giving you extra light levels, the game will only consider you 1250 when your actually base light level is 1250. Meaning if your total light level is 1250 but you're getting 12 levels from your artifact then your light level is really only 1238. Good luck out there!

Oh Also 100k score on 1220 nightfall IS COMPLETELY POSSIBLE. You just don't die and kill everything.

For Trials and Prophecy, use the Destiny Website or app on your phone. the LFG function is very user friendly.. People not so much..

You don't have to do all the hard yards tasks to get your power score up, just go and play the game. Run around and shoot everything that moves, open every loot chest you come across, do every lost sector in all locations, spend a goodly amount of time getting dead over and over in sorrow's harbour but also kicking the crap out of the nightmares there. Run strike playlists, run random strikes over and over just for the hell of it. Go hunt Enforcer Brigs on Europa, hell go anywhere and hunt anything with a yellow bar, All of this will get you drops of Legendary and Powerful gear, almost all of which you'll break for parts. Don't waste upgrade modules on anything less than a 4 point increase on any of your weapons or armour pieces, overall it costs too much in resources and takes forever. Also remember that your power score is an aggregate score of all your equipped weapons and armour, if you have two or three pieces that are down at say 1100 that'll keep your power score low. Basically to have a 1250 power score you need to be rockin' 4 weapons and 5 armour pieces that all have individual 1250 scores. Get out there and kick arse and have fun doing it, you'll be there before you know. Once you're there give yourself a pat on the back and then go chasing after Pinnacle gear.

Also this weeks night fallout you leave one building and enter into another if you stay in that area a small event plays out most people skip that part and just get to the boss as fast as possible, but thats where you wanna rack up points.

Upgrading is a personal choice, but if you have a gun that's 1245 and you just don't like it drop it into something that you do like to increase its power. The guy talking about "wasting upgrade modules" clearly doesn't know you can use your ghost and strike Playlist to farm them. Having a low supply of them is a personal problem honestly. Once you have a nice stack of up mods, switch your ghost to cores then prisms farming upgrade material is in no way "hard" you just have to do it.

Also if you use the farm method your not wasting other materials on buying up mods cores and prisms. And the same farm gets you those other "regular" materials. Now when you start getting near 1240 you should probably start worrying about "god rolls" which just mean the best possible load out any gun could have. Once your around 1240 your gunna know what you like to use and you wanna start looking out for better rolls of the guns you like. The bank has 500 slots use them, you don't have to scrap everything save stuff. You get an awesome roll on an auto rifle but the power level is garbage toss that bxtch in the bank and wait till you get one with a higher power level but a shxt roll, cause if the gun your using to up grade is the same gun your upgrading you dont have to use an upgrade module.

There are all kinds of little tricks its just a matter of picking them up and using them.

Honestly the "fastest" strait grind to 1250 is filling your lure from seasons of the hunt, doing your hunts keep doing it even after your weekly 4 the things your killing have a chance to drop prime engrams and those will always be you high possible level regardless if your wearing your best or not. But don't get me wrong its still a grind.

Also make sure you finish ALL of Europa, get your different grenades, and your stasis class mods from completing the Exo strangers side quests.

Look man I played Destiny and Year 1 of Destiny 2 I just came back 3 weeks ago to a 1050 light level character, I completely deleted my titan and started from scratch Im 1267, I was 1250 in 13 days, I dont say that to brag I say that to tell you I litterally just did all of the things I told you to do and im up there my warlock and hunter are 1260+ also cause once one gets there they all do. You just switch your best guns between them a go get a few gear drops to even your gear level to your weapons levels. Its that easy. But if you only use one character it will take 3x as long as a person using 3. The 3 character thing is the key, honestly.

You want some raid weapons??? Or gear?? Learn the first part of the DSC and were the first chest is its completely solo-able. Go into Last Wish, go too the wishing wall, input the 4th wish, get the chest.. boom super easy completely solo-able ways to get almost 2 entire raid sets.. some stuff just won't drop in either of those chest but enough good stuff does to do it. And these are just the little secrets I've learned over the past 3 weeks there is still PLENTY of other little tricks to learn.

The Lament is the hardest hitting weapon in the game and it is SO easy to get. Like anything in this game. You just gotta go do it.

Another good tip, go get Xenophage you can solo everything but the last part.

Another tip if you didnt start a bran new character in beyond light you want to go to the old quest terminal next to the post master in the tower and do the new light quest line it ends with you getting an exotic SMG called the Risk Runner.. Once you have it masterworks it fxckxng MELTS any and all things Fallens. Just too give you an idea ive been playing for 3 weeks right I got Risk Runner on day 5 or 6 so I've had it for 15 days lets say, I have 6,362 kills currently and thats only the kills after I masterworked it and thats not total kills that just kills with Risk Runner.. Considering pretty much 70% of the game right now is Fallen enemies it is a fxckxng must have. My next best masterwork only has 1186 kills. You must get the Risk Runner.
