Loot and the Postmaster
ahoy,

im starting to get a little lazy with inventory management, so i was curious.

does the postmaster in the tower have a limit on how much loot they can carry?
and if they have none, does EVERY piece of gear that i cannot pick up or loot go to them?

i was thinking of putting 9 items in every slot and just roam around and then later decon everything in the postmasters inventory if it is possible and/or feasible.

that is, only if every item that was not picked up really goes there.

Yes the postmaster will tell you when it runs out of space, I use him to store modules

9 items should be fine :)

I would highly recommend using DIM (Destiny Item Manager). It's a website/app that let's you move items around between your characters, postmaster and vault in real time, without having to go back to the tower to store/remove everything. you don't have to worry about having 9 items in every slot, you can literally just move the weapon you need to your character when you need it

i appreciate your help, but im not going to use another thirdparty app/site for another thing ingame... i am beginning to wonder, why does destiny2 rely so much on third party insted of giving all those options ingame?

if the site/app does that in realtime, then why does bungie not bother adding that as a quality of life option in their game?

anyways, those 21 temporary mail-items will suffice for a little lazytime.

Awesome! I regularly pick up from Banshee and forget to check weapons before I head out then have to go back, this is going to save me a whole bunch of time. Thanks so much!

Try it out, it's a game changer and fully supported by Bungie. Why doesn't Bungie add it in game? Why waste resources when the app is already made, same reason most games don't bother with good VoiP as there is Discord and Teamspeak.

There is the Destiny phone app made by Bungie, which does the same thing, but it is no way near as good as DIM.

Destiny Companion app already does that, i would much rather use an official app from bungie than some 3rd party
