Hi there!

Windows is the only OS this game supports.

For more information, please review the system specifications for Destiny 2 below.

that doesn't mean it wont work on linux if you know all the windows dependency settings to setup wine for it. I don't see why it would be a problem if all the same anticheat software is installed and running. A cheater on any platform would be pretty skilled to make anything work at that level and it wouldn't matter what platform they were using. Nobody runs this on linux? Steam is big on linux gaming.... they have their own distro

0.78% of Steam users are on Linux, so I doubt many people are playing (or attempting to play) D2 on Linux.

theres gotta be 10s of us maybe even 20s

Yeah, and half of them are probably people like me who use Linux for work (or general non-gaming activities) but have Steam installed to chat with friends while we're on Linux, lol.

Linux is great but it's a terrible platform for gaming.

i enjoy making things work as much has I do playing the games. Its a shame that the popOS/lutris/steam push didn't get more developers on board.

They just look at the data and prioritise work based on that. Work that will only benefit 0.78% of potential players isn't deemed to be worthwhile, unfortunately. I'd ditch Windows and stick to Linux if devs supported it, but they don't so here I am...

BEWARE! Don't try to run it on anything other than windows, you *will* be marked as cheater by their (crappy) anti-cheat and will possibly get a VAC ban. I really wanted to try and run this game on my linux machine, so researched hard. It's not worth the effort. Sadly, Bungie doesn't care

That’s not true there are Destiny 2 builds compiled for Linux that are used by cloud services like Stadia.

And now that free to play accounts will not be permitted to engage in PvP and cheating will be cut by 90% there will no longer be a reason to hold Linux version of the game back.

Destiny 2 is the only game I can’t play since I moved to Linux last year and I was paying customer.

Stadia is built on Linux. Stadia is not Linux.

You moved to Linux knowing that Destiny 2 only runs on Windows. This is some next level entitlement.

First I stated the facts I can’t play it, and even Cyberpunk 2077 had day one linux support in fact the most stable release was on Linux.

Second I did not demanded any thing so how I can be entitled?

Actually the GAME itself runs on Linux, only that damn anticheat tool, that isn't even doing the job properly is blocking it. Even if you use a new Kernel in Majaro Linux, this is a broken mess.
