What can be done after a ban?

My account was banned overnight a month ago and I haven't been able to find out why. I've had zero response from Bungie other than the standard link redirection to the ban info page.

My question now is, if I want to play again what are my options? If I unlink my accounts can I create a new bungie account and re-link them (I played across Stadia, Xbox and PC pretty much equally using cross-save)?

I played solo pretty much exclusively, sometimes with friends. Crucible doesn't interest me at all. I don't want to get the game again though and be banned for something I don't know I'm doing. I don't know which platform caused the ban. I don't know if because I was afk in the world when my Stadia disconnected. I was thinking maybe because I was in one of the new dlc areas on Xbox but I didn't own it on PC. (I did by it on PC just in case and then got banned that night.)

Has anyone been banned and gone through any of this with regards to making a new account?

i love how everyone that get's banned in Destiny says that they don't know why they got banned and that it happened for no reason. and every single one of them has their steam profile Private too. are cheaters really that stupid? or perhaps acting stupid is the correct word. oh btw they don't ban for afk they kick you back to orbit. also good riddance chief

I never heard of someone just getting a ban for playing...

You probably glitched or hacked or cheated.
Appeal your ban, but I doubt it would be overturned...

Your options are making a new Steam and rebuy all the content,
Do it for the real players and support us <3

Ps: there's a 90 day wait period on relinking accounts, see you in 3 months

I didn't cheat. I would easily admit if I did as a consequence of my actions because I'm an adult. How would I cheat on Xbox or Stadia? Also, just from looking at the first couple pages of this forum, cheating seems rampant with no consequence.

Of course my steam profile is private. Everyone's should be. Not sure what that has to do with anything.
