How do I wipe all my progress in destiny 2?

Im a visual learner so I will need visuals or really, really descriptive explaining. I want to wipe everything. Every single thing. No trace. But I dont know how.

Its annoying after I do that though because then the campaign throws so many events and tasks that im suppost to do at a higher level. I load up a new character and they send multiple campaigns that ive already done in my last playthrough at me.

Is that not how it would be for a new account? You say you want to wipe progress which would mean doing everything again, then are annoyed it is telling you to do everything again?

Well yea but its stuff thats a too high level. Its telling me stuff to do at level 770 that is meant for 890 and stuff like that. It gives me to much to do and its overwhelming. A lot of it is stuff for me to do after I reach 900

That won't change if you do a complete wipe.

With Beyond Light, I imagine a bunch of busywork quests will be deprecated. Just wait a month and it'll be fine.

I have learned something new. I can now not do DLC quests and missions because my old account already did them. I think.

There's supposed to be some new player onboarding type thing coming at some point. I'm not sure if that's with Beyond Light or later when they add the Cosmodrome, but the new player experience is supposed to be improving soon. I wish they'd done this when they first moved to Steam, because it's been terrible for ages, but I guess they didn't have time.

More to it as in the answer to resetting isnt just wiping your vault and characters. When I say I want to restart, I mean I want to start all the way at the beginning. I dont remember if it was destiny 1 or 2, but I want to go back ALLLL the way to when the city fell. The cabal invasion. I wanna restart restart.

The only restart restart is what I said, and then seeing Amanda in the hanger to start the Red War champagne. This is not Destiny 1 and when the game moved to Steam the game start was changed. Even if you start a new Steam account you can't start the game the way it was before Steam. You asked about a restart, not a trip to the past.
