warlock, titans are scum for a multitude of reasons
beyond light i guess cause its the latest one? absolutely no expertise on SUCH a question, it sucks playing without everything
but if your warlock uses solar ult from forsaken - you will be welcome in every possible party for every possible activity

The middle tree is unlocked for everyone regardless of what expansions they own, so OP is in luck. However, I agree that of the three, Beyond Light is the expansion most worth it right now since you'll also get access to stasis.

As for the classes, choose Warlock if you think you'll play a support role (heal/empower/buff allies). Choose Titan if you'll play a close range damage nuke. Titans only have one ranged super.

The cronology is Forsaken, Shadowkeep and Beyond Light.

If you like to start, go for Forsaken, if you wanna be up-to-date, it's the latest DLC. But Beyond Light (with his four seasons) has just started, and you still have enough time to catch up when this DLC is on a sale that suits you.

Last but not least, every class in this game has it's benefits and can compete with each other. It's also easy to activate all three (classes) at once. This gives you diversion.

Thx for all the replies! I'll go with Forsaken while waiting for the Legendary Edition on gamepass for pc

listen for the years i have played destiny and someone who just came to pc i know i may not have a say but people like to say that hunter is master race i disagree if anything it is ego inducing and very annoying if you want to stay alive and help out teammates then go warlock, if you want to do bug dps then go titan WeLL HuNtEr CaN Do AlL ThAT, no they can't if anything hunter's are selfish and care only about themselves yes they can go invis but what can that do for the team, yes they can teather but that is but a bubble titan is for if anything it is a replacement, yes they can use celestial but that is what other dps weapons do, if you want a good super based character go warlock, but if you want to damage nuke then go titan, they both have a good super that is team based if you want, personal use go hunter but beware, Hunter is NOT master race it is intermediate race or below race.

Remember guardian, titans are master race here! All glory and girls go to them! Where warlocks or hunters tremble behind the corner titans fearlessly jump in and hit with their shoulder or kick with a knee! They can even slide with icy punch! Legends say some heroes even tried to punch wormgod Xol! Glory to them!

all this resillience and they still always die first. all this speed and they still die to taniks' electric orbit.

Actually Forsaken is the best right now, at least if you have the season pass, because you don´t have access to wrathborn hunts without playing the Forsaken campaign.

Humor aside, this is the result of close combat skills. Also hunters have invisibility and Warlocks have pool of light. Titans don't have such cheats.

Depends on what you want to do in the game.
If you are driven by story take Forsaken First.
If you want to be on par with rest of the Guardains get the Latest - BL. Stasis is now meta along with some pretty good new exotics that are also meta. However the story may leave you hanging.

humor aside - they have how many exotics that heal and trigger health regen? hunters pretty much have to wear wormhusk 99% of the time, 1% being swapping to celestial nighthawk when the DPS phase starts. also, "close combat skills"? i dunno, man, i'd MUCH rather have a guaranteed pvp-oneshot shoulder tackle instead of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ throwing knife that you have to somehow aim in the head or, what, some useless smoke grenade.
