Ascendant Lens Bubble?

I've come across this strange bubble twice now since getting the lens. It looks like Toland, but with no glow and transparent. It appears as a blue dot on radar. I stood near the second one I saw and it turned purple(the void shade) then disappeared making a noise like the taken orb that explodes. The first time I saw it was in the forest, the second was in a heroic mission. Has anyone else seen them? Are they related to the lens?

Ah, then maybe there is a use for the Ascendant Lens that Spider gives you for finishing the Festival of the Lost.
