Malfeasance Quest Broken
So, I'm on step 2 of the quest and no matter what taken boss I kill, the progress bar won't, well, Progress. Anyone else having this issue or Know how to fix?

Which ones have you tried? I don't think the lake of shadows boss counts. Did you try the corrupted?

Make sure it's an 'ultra' - diamond icon on the health bar.
'Major' enemies (triangular icon) are not bosses and do not count, even if they happen to be the final enemy in an area/activity.
Primevals are the intended source but the two Taken Lost Sector enemies in the Dreaming City should count too.

That's what I thought, but I've killed the Chamber of Starlight Lost Sector boss 3 times, but It never added progress...I've tried doing what several guides have said to do to no avail though.

Spam the strike in EDZ then last boss is taken so.

Fair warning, Mal only ends in disappointment, its a really MEH hand canon.

You can still get the quest? I thought it was removed with beyond light...

Wonderful! The corrupted mission is wonderful for farming...

I did this quest a few days ago. Heres a tip. Go to the giant gate thingy in the after loading into dreaming city. There more often than not an event occurs (not a public event a random world event) It says "the enemies are turning against eachother" Near the gate entrance the taken and awoken would fight eachother. Kill all the takens (I prefer leaving the awoken alone im not sure if that changes anything) After a while yellow bar takens will spawn. You can almost get half of the step done in one go. After this return a while later to the same place. This event is pretty frequent. It took my 20-30 mins to do this step.

Most Lost Sector bosses are Majors, yeah, but not all.

The ones on Mars were Ultras, making them a good source of radiant seeds for BA weapons, as they would drop 10 instead of 2, like Major rank enemies.

For the Dreaming City, Ur Haraak at Aphelion's Rest, and Inkasi at Chamber of Starlight, are both Ultras and 'should' count as boss kills for anything that asks for that. I see OP mentions they aren't counting, can't explain that. I have definitely used them for 'boss' kill requirements before.

the dreaming city enemies turn against each other just at the big entrance is a easy way to do it

Yeah I know, but I got the Ornament for it(from menmonic engram) and my friends thought it was so funny that I don't have it lol...

I just tried this and it didn't work, Great Idea though! The quest step does say to do it in the dreaming city as well though...
