Beyond Light causing PC Shutdown
Since Beyond Light went live I've had problems with the PC randomly shutting down. And since UPDATE 3.0.0.2 it's shutting down every few minutes of play. This only happens during D2 and not with any other game. I've been unable to complete any strikes or even traverse the open areas for long.

Are there any known fixes?

I've tried:

Turning off NV Cache and clearing the cache in program files - Nvidia Corp
Setting game to run as Admin and Disabling full-screen optimisations
Lowering in-game settings including changing to windowed mode and lowering resolution
Verifying the games files.
Verifiying Windows 10 files for possible corruption
Rolling back Nvidia driver from 457.30 to 452.06

System Specs:

MSI 1080 Gaming X Plus
Intel i5-8600K
16GB RAM
ADATA SX8200PNP M2 500GB Drive

sounds like a hardware issue.

either GPU/CPU or even RAM overheating, are either OC'd?.

i would run a temp monitor and see if it rules that out

are you shutting down or crashing to desktop?
The Changingman Nov 14, 2020 @ 7:50am
No overclocking. Temps are within norms.

Considering it never happend to you before and just until beyond light its probably some specific hardware bug they need to fix on there side.

have you tried checking the windows event logs to see if anything is recorded at the time it happened?

If your internet is fast enough it might be worth it to try reinstalling the game.

[BHA] Parazac - Windows event logs aren't showing anything other than that it unexpectedly shut down. There's nothing logged in the moments prior to show any cause.

Fistful of Beans - I've got a backup of the game from just after BL launched and before the 3.0.0.2 update so I'll try that before trying to re-downoad.

That's not how games like this work.

Shatter Soul - I know that the game will update to 3.0.0.2 again as soon as it's installed I was just mentioning the version I had was all.

Hi, my pc shutdown while playind D2 too, except that I've identified the trigger.
I'm crashing when 2meters or less from a cabal pod dropping (or a forsaken mecha).
Don't know why, but it's the only scenario where I'm crashing.
If somebody else is in my case I'll feel less alone :)

shutting down sounds like a psu issue

in my case my pc doesn't shut down, but the game does. whenever i try to play the new content my game closes, idk why sometimes i can go to europa, sometimes it even closes the game before that, but my game always shuts down whenever i try to play the new campaign. this doesn't happen when i play other games, only in D2 and only since the beyond light update never before that. idk why this happens, but i dont like it. I was really looking forward to play the new update, but now i can't. i've already tried to uninstall and reinstall the game, twice (it didn't help). idk what to do now

Can it be really a psu problem when (in my case) the trigger is always the same ?
Could it just not come from the game itself ?
