What happened to ghost shells?
It seems they no longer have exclusive perks, and now they are replaced by generic upgrades. However, I can't find any difference between legendary and exotic shells. I don't know what to do with my collection of ghost shells. Any thoughts?

if you go through the mods you could spec different ones out for different things like running strikes and getting extra gear/destination materials, finding chests and boosting glimmer, etc you can kind of specialize them now to what you want

ghosts are downgrade with 10 energy you cant even have perks like this ghost had before, same was with joke armor 2.0 with old armor you could have everything not only better but double. and then they sunset all your stuff, now they do that again, you want invest time into grind for armor and weapons dropping with 52 max skills points and they will be useless after 12 months, also right they require you to buy old dlcs to get old exotics and fly to tangled shore and dream city, but you cant fly to planets you own. show me other game that removes content and there isnt massive lawsuit
show me a game where there was a lawsuit? u need to grow up mate

I understand, but what's now the purpose of exotic ghost shells, if they are the same as legendary ones? Both have 4 mod slots and a 10 energy cap, what am I missing here?

" show me other game that removes content and there isnt massive lawsuit "

Every game published since 2001.

You do NOT own any content of any game. You purchased a license to PLAY said game. Try reading an EULA once before you press play.

Mofos... I spent a lot of bright dust in getting exotic ones.

EULAs are not above the law. The concept of "software as license, not as property" has never been challenged in court, yet.

I like the change having a ghost shell with exclusive perks is nonsensical. It's like this would you rather have 10 shells with X perks or 1 shell with every perk possible? I choose the second one.

People say this, and it's totally true, but, what you also need to show is how it might be breaking a law. For example Steam tried to deny refunds in the EU and Australia, which is illegal there. They were unable to get these people to agree to give that right up in order to access the services, it is inalienable. That meant they had to (and now do!) offer refunds to those locations or else they'd have to stop selling to people in those countries.

Bit of a digression but back to the original topic. I can't tell you what to do but here's what I'm doing. Now I no longer feel obliged to use Eris Morn's shell, I've picked one that goes well with each character's look / or is just a bit of a flex in general (ie Armory-Forged Shell), and that one has the Lv6 EXP booster and Lv4 chest finder. Then I've picked some other nice-looking ones, shells I may never have considered using before due to poor perks (Wish-Maker Shell, Crimson Shell) and setting those up for activities.

I love the change. Now I can run whichever shell looks the best (Saintly Shell matches my awesome Season if Dawn helmet) and not worry that I'm using a suboptimal shell.

Very much happy with this change.

It's now just a fluff naming for people to spend more money on the "Exotic" shells.
Imo I like the system now as I can finally use the shells I want and don't need to use a specific one that has the perks I wanted.
