If I abandon quests.

So I have the umbral flames quest on strikes. and I wonder can I abandon it and choose another or no? Since do not feel to do it and I can know if same thing can be used in future questlines.

if you already picked up 2 from stranger you cant ditch one and grab another

You only get the two you choose per week. If you do drop it, you will not be able to reclaim it that week, afaik, but if you pick up the same quest the next week, your progress will be retained.

You'll only need to do the quests 6 times to get all the fragments, then you never have to do those quests again. Bungie has said the Memory Keys will not have any further purpose after this season.

Damn. There are so many empty slots below those 6 fragments. I was hoping Bungie would give us a few more.... mix things up a bit more!

I believe you can go to the kiosk to the left of the post master to get old quests

The Memory Keys are what you get from those quests. You get one from each quest, and each can be used to purchase a single fragment from the Exo Stranger. There are six fragments in total, shared between all classes, so you only need to unlock them once for your whole account.
