Im trying to unlock the gunsmith like use him to craft guns I think he does that but idk how to unlock him im doing quests but still not able 2 use him

He can't craft guns, you trade gunsmith tokens in and he'll give you a weapon in exchange.

This. Although it would be great if you could actually "craft" some guns there. Like give him some Foundry guns with okay-ish perks that you can customize for planetary materials, glimmer and legendary shards.

Are we talking about Banshee-44 here?

You walk up to him, you press your "interact" key.

He'll have bounties for you to do. Some are weeklies, some are dailies. Some are extras which you can purchase at anytime, for Glimmer.

He'll also sell a variety of materials: Upgrade modules, Enhancement Prisms, and Ascendant Shards. He also sells two mods at a time, those are random, and they rotate frequently.

Usually he'll have a weekly challenge for "Powerful" gear. (Complete Eight bounties usually).

Very occasionally, he'll offer a quest.

You can also turn in weapon parts to upgrade your reputation with him. Every time you hit the threshold, he'll give you a random item from his pool.

He won't ever craft you specific guns though. This is a looter-shooter. He doesn't sell weapons, he sells facilitators.

You dismantle gear you don't want (of at least "blue" quality). The parts will show up in your inventory. When you access Banshee-44's screen, you'll be able to see how many you have there as well (and can decide if you want to spend them or save them).

You can also pull (some) weapons directly out of your Collections tab and those will require weapon parts too, so keep a few in inventory.
