But calling people "trash" won't help. They have as much right to be there as you. It makes you sound petty and reduces your valid argument to name calling. Besides, we were all newbs at some time, even you, and had to learn by trial and error.
Maybe someday Bungie will develop a ranking system based on hours played or something which will work better than the current matchmaking system. Until then maybe you can devise an informal user/clan system with like-minded players as a prototype.
I'm just spouting ideas here, trying for something more positive. You know more about the game than I do.
Good luck and try to have fun.
If you want to win play whit a premade
-if you see someone collecting, leave him finnish and dont take 2 motes if he has 13
Why try when everyone gets a gold star? Bounties are the only way to quickly get the season pass done and not waste time.
Now am the one who gets really frsutrated at players for their idiocy, HOWEVER....
There are a few things to consider when you say "stealing" from other players I do not agree.
If I have 14 motes and I need the last 1 to get a heavy blocker, YOU are an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you hoard your kills and get upset at me for taking 1, you should see I am on 14 on my head and let me pick one from your pool. I always keep aware of players around me and how many motes they have in case I need to leave some.
Also I do not agree that your kill = your motes, like you said this is a team effort, so as long as you do not just keep banking 4 motes at the time I am ok with you taking my kills, in fact I encourage everybody to share motes if I see around them, that way if I die accidentally I do not lose a big score too quickly.
Likewise if I have 15 motes and you see me running toward the bank or I am on the other side of the level, and to summon the primeval the team only need 1 emote, WAIT FOR ME to bank 15 and send a heavy blocker rather than bank 1 and waste the last opportunity to screw with your opposing faction. I have seen this sooooo many times it is infuriating, I even remember having 10 motes and waiting at the bank for another team mate with 15, and here comes the little idiot with 2 motes thinking he is being "smart" and banks his motes, while the other player was right behind him.
When I am on a matchmaking team I have a happy 4/5 winning ration now because I make sure to always look at all other players info before acting, and micromanage the match on my own end even if I cannot talk to them (like leaving motes for certain players, hunt for the invader if nobody else does it and kill the blockers if nobody else is paying attention), but even so, I find myself screaming at the game sometimes when players do not seem to grasp the very basic decency of the concept of "team".
All that said, this is a complex mode that REALLY needs a tutorial for new players, as I do not believe I have seen it in any other game, so I try not to be too judgemental.
Destiny refuses to have any sort of search, LFG, or asynchronous raid queue (do other activities while you look for raid parties).
Minecraft originally didn't teach you or remember crafted recipes when it first came out forcing a break in immersion to look up a recipe you may have forgotten how to make. This game was especially terrible for people going in blind. To them they could explore but once night came endless suicide bombers would come and destroy all the terrain (Bad design for new players).
THIS RIGHT ♥♥♥♥♥♥ HERE
Winning actually drops MORE rewards with a better chance at higher power, thus leveling you up faster/more chances at god rolls. But I doubt you'll believe this and will just argue. Enjoy the grind.
Oh and +1 for your avatar. Dark Crystal is the shiz.
This is the problem. 99% of the people that play, have none.
This is EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
No, I'm talking about the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that sit there and watch you bust your ass taking down a tough enemy and they run in and scoop up all the motes (when they have few, if any, to begin with) because they're too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy to pull the trigger themselves. If you wanna help take down the big guy? Sure, have some motes. But don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stand there while I do all the work and then take all the motes.
I get what you're saying but the greater problem is someone with 5-10 motes that would summon the Primeval running to the far end to get MORE motes, taking way too long to get them and/or dying in the process, needing someone to collect more to make up for the loss because they can't seem to comprehend that you can bank less than 15 at a time.
Wish I had your luck with teams. Took me around 5 matches to finally get a team that wasn't too braindead to get a win. Some days it goes better, but I've had enough of the frustration. I don't know about now, with all the changes and streamlining they've done with Beyond Light, but there USED to be a kind of "tutorial" for Gambit. And really, if you turn up your volume and listen to Drifter (or turn on subtitles) he TELLS YOU WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING. People are just too stupid to play a game like this without someone holding their hand.
