Do Gambit kills count as Crucible kills?

Im trying to complete the thorn quest on the way to getting the reckoner seal and you need to defeat guardians in the crucible with hand cannons. Guardian kills in gambit count for the crucible kill tracker on weapons but do they count towards quests as i much prefer playing gambit to crucible :)

I can't remember lol. Best way to find out would be mash a round of Gambit and then check quest progress.

I don't think so, and yeah, you're crazy. getting HC kills in Crucible, even in Survival is far easier than in Gambit.

For masterworked kills on weapons it does count, but I dont think if you're doing a quest it counts

Thanks everyone, ive started playing survival instead of gambit and im progressing the quest very quickly and its actually fairly fun compared to when i first started playing destiny!
