Best way to play Destiny 1 in 2020?

I was looking at getting Destiny: The Collection for PS4, but then I saw that it's just the vanilla disc with download codes. Then I saw that the codes included in an even new copy may automatically have expired. THEN I saw conflicting information that The Collection doesn't even come with the Rise of Iron DLC.

So what gives? What do? I wanted to devote October and November to playing through the Destiny games.

Not to sure you'll have much feedback here considering this is a PC platform, as for availability then i'd look to ask bungie support. Steam support will be of no use to you man.

You might have seen conflicting information about the collection as the previous gen versions (XBOX 360/PS3) didn't get the Rise of Iron expansion.

You might have to buy it digitally unfortunately on the playstation store. The destiny collection dlc codes included with the base game disk expired last year if i remember correctly meaning when you buy the collection physically you will only be able to play vanilla destiny 1. Hope this helps!

Ahh, that's what I was afraid of. All the posts I saw saying this wasn't the case were made last year, probably before the codes actually did expire. Thanks for the help!
