Neither. Rapid hit/triple tap is the best roll you can get on it.

Neither are great, don't really benefit a sniper or what this game requires a sniper too be. You want boss damage then Rapid hit is pretty good if you want a decent PvP option, well I wouldn't use the long shadow to start with.

I prefer Snapshot, honestly. I like being able to scope in fast.

Rapid hit/triple tap significantly increases DPS for PVE. Snapshot is more of a PVP perk and I'd go with another sniper over long shadow for PVP.

I'd prefer Field Prep instead of Rapid Hit
more ammo means more deeps, and the reload is effectively the same as RH

That isn't how DPS works. Faster reload = more DPS. More ammo reserves = more total damage, which is significantly less important than DPS.

Except field prep does both faster reloads, and more reserves.

Field Prep allows both more dps, and total damage lol
crouch for faster reload, and more reserves

Requires crouching, which hinders movement and, I haven't actually compared them since the reload perks were nerfed but, I thought rapid hit was still a bit faster.

almost every dps phase involves standing still, crouching is a non issue

You only need to crouch just before you start the reload, and you're good. And as the guy above me said, a lot of DPS phases involve standing still anyways.

Yeah, but you want to make sure that you're reloading as fast possible and it's kinda clunky. Would rather just get the reload speed boost from hitting crits. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
