Are they seriously removing the Red War?
Sounds like they're regretting F2P and walking back New Light to a glorified demo. What is there left? Just the EDZ?

They should shut down this abomination of a game.

i dont care if the game reach 500gb in space... stop removing stuff instead!
They could easily remove the content from consoles but keep it in for pc instead...

New players can pretty much patrol all of the locations, play strikes, Crucible, and Gambit, and that's pretty much it.

I'm suspicious (along with many others) that what they are actually doing is overhauling the old areas and will be bringing them back later. To be honest, the new player experience right now feels really bad with very little to direct you to the old content anyway. Removing the front half of the game and restructuring it will give them the ability to massage it back in in a more relevant way.

It feels bad to remove it, but it also makes sense. It really depends on how they manage it going forward.

And they're removing four of those locations, seven strikes, and two gambit maps. I've heard a rumour they're getting Beyond Light stuff for free but then what are people paying $40 for? Just some Darkness-based gimmick classes to cash in on being edgy?

I mean, it'd probably work.

Players won't be getting anything from Beyond Light for free (other than the location and the strikes in the playlist). Bungie is releasing a small, free update with Beyond Light that will give new players a new introduction with the Cosmodrome.

Literrally nobody plays the red war campaign, people who are new to the game pretty much skip it.. It doesn't give any exotic rewards either, it only gives a bit of xp and a minor impression of how the game works.

Also, the cabal were defeated at the end of the previous season... There's literally no reason to keep them in the game at this point..

This. The game guides new players pretty well, but most players dont wanna look through their inventory or Milestones and actually Follow them. As a Result, most players cant even Find the old camps. The number of Topics on the forum about finding them are rediculous So I don't even wanna hear it.

Now Having said that, New Light is the entire reason they are bringing the Old content in. The Cosmodrome, the Strikes etc... Its geared toward New Light.

Mind you if it is true and they are walking back the F2P, 2 words: Good Riddance. F2P ruined the player base.

Im fine with this game going back to more a pay to play. Too many freeloaders currently that feel entitled for some reason.

Only because it was impossible to find lol. I would replay it (and all the story stuff) if the game let you. I think it was the best way to get introduced to the game, I started it on the blizzard thing then moved here and it was just bloated mess and took a while to figure out how to start it

Yikes, if it was impossible for you to find then you really need to change your name cause it isn't remotely correct for you.
There is literally a quest that brings you to the Hanger for them.
I had like 500 quests, no need for disrespect. I didn't even know where I was, since the hub was different on the blizzard launcher.

Well thats on you, not Bungie. They gave you everything you needed & took you right to it. It's not on them that you didn't go through your Milestones and quest steps and read them

You are absolutely right. I played story missions in a wrong order and didn't have a glue what's going on. Went to Io in order to open engram maschine and tried to shoot enemies but did zero damage. About a thousand similar situations. Spent more time in youtube than ever before. How difficult is it to tell where to start a mission. This game is a biggest mess that I have ever seen. You need 2 monitors, one for the game and one for youtube. Maybe this is intentional cos there are millions videos in tube telling what to do and where to go. Free marketing:(

I haven't seen a single f2p player acting entitled, it's veterans whos had enough of bungies ♥♥♥♥♥♥ decisions and refuse to support them anymore.
