Have you try this advice from https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=45899 :
"Clearing Steam Download Cache: Players who encounter issues with Steam or Destiny 2 should also try clearing their Steam download cache." ?

From your Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting "Steam > Settings" from the top left client menu.
In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab and you'll find the "Clear Download Cache" button at the bottom.
Then select "OK" to confirm and acknowledge that you'll need to login to Steam again.

As far as i can tell, this seems to be an issue with iGPU laptops (don't know about dedicated GPU laptops). I used to play on a laptop and i had this issue. I ended up getting a better rig and I can finally play. After an entire year of waiting.

not op but i have a possible solution that has worked for me.

  • go to C:/Users/[yourname]/AppData/Local/Temp/Destiny 2/crash_folder/pc_x64
  • open the most recent folder (crash_folder_numbers)
  • open crash_info.txt
  • this will tell you which package is having trouble loading. my most recent one was w64_environments_01b7_0.pkg
  • go to your destiny 2 install, packages, find the file, delete it, and verify integrity of game cache.

it should say 1 file reacquired, and usually this fixes the crashes for while.
if the crashing happens a lot, i recommend pinning those 2 folders for quick access.
