Level Advantage in Trials?!
In my opinion this level advantage thing in trials really sucks. It'S a damn pure skill based game mode and for me it makes no sense, that you're better in trials, if you played a lot of Raid and farmed a lot of pinnical weapons! So even if I'm a very good player just on 970lv. I have literally no chance against a PVE player on 1k lv! I hope someone can relate and maybe even Bungie, cuz that has to be fixed!

Trials of bounties really. It's all about who's the biggest basement dweller. I thought i grinded alot, but im comming against ppl power 1010+ it's laughable.

If you're smart, you'd wait until next week, grab your pinnacles, then go for trials.

There is already a level advantage disabled competitive PvP mode in survival. Just copy pasting it into a non-matchmaking weekly reset mode wouldn't be much of a change.

Following that logic making a weekend only Iron Banner without match-making isn't much of a change either...

When did they make iron banner 3v3 elimination??

Iron Banner is an entirely different match type and has no real competitive tracking like trials win / loss and survival glory rank.

Good point, add the Trials maps and lot pool to Survival and get rid of that circus of a gamemode

I thought one level-enabled clown house was enough (besides Gambit but most people hate it and don't play it so yeah)

This is interesting cause while playing trials, my team (2 players at 1010+, one a bit under 1k) faced quite a few teams with a power level of around 980 and we didn't really noticed a difference in incomming/outgoing damage conpared to teams at 1010+ power.
Needless to say that most of the teams we faced were above average in pvp, so skill still matters more than power.

Because the power lvl advantage is turned of for the first week.

Wasn't it artifact bonus enabled first week only and gear level enabled all season?

Power lvl is turned on for the first weekend. Even tho it's stupid to reward basement dwellers both powerful t2 and pinnacle 1st week just cause the grinded bounties like hell.
Should'nt trials be about skill? I mean yea there is SOME skill but srsly, yesterday my friends got 2 shotted by a spare ration cause he was lvl 1016 xD

It's an end game activity. Of course power level advantage is enabled.

Also, power level really doesn't make that much difference. If you're getting rolled, it's probably not your gear. People have already gone flawless with 960 power.

The fact it's endgame PvP means it should be the most about skill (isn't Control and some rotators for goofing around with big teams?), and light level advantages are the opposite of that

It's not hard to steamroll much worse players even if they overlevel you, this argument people throw around of "very good players can destroy bad players regardless of balance so balance doesn't matter" is absolute BS and instantly shows whoever says that has no clue whatsoever. Balance matters most in even games, you can't tell me having 10-20 more levels doesn't impact a game where everyone is around the same skill level.

Iron Banner already exists (and already has taken the only pinnacle/ritual this season away from other modes) for casuals flex their dumb yellow number

I believe a high LL difference can make them tank a direct hit mountaintop, let alone 3 headshots from a hand cannon. Not only is LL advantages a completely pointless addition that harms people who cant play the game 24 hours a day, but it really does make a difference in a fight. Give me one good reason for the existence of LL advantages, and no, it being an "endgame activity" is not a good one.

It motivates PvP tryhards to actually play the main portion of the game instead of just loading their same old meta loadout and queueing for crucible.

More people playing more of the game is always a good thing for the game.
