Suddenly requires Shadowkeep?

I have been doing the quests to upgrade the special event armor. At the 3rd level it tells me to do the Nightfall the Ordeal on Master several times. All of a sudden when I go to that mission, it tells me I require Shadowkeep expansion. I have played this several times already, including getting the weekly done for scoring over 100,000 points a few days ago.

Why would it suddenly require this expansion, but did not require it earlier?

That's weird. I wonder if it's related to the bug that asked for Forsaken for Lake of Shadows a few weeks ago.

Festering core strike requires shadowkeep

Are you sure? It is a Forsaken-era strike, just PS-exclusive in year 2.

No, Festering Core is a Shadowkeep strike. Broodhold was the PS exclusive one from Forsaken.

As they said, it is a strike from an expansion. I think you can play it in strike playlist, since its random, but not in Nightfall (which seems weird, but I think that's how it is). You'll just have to wait a week to do whatever you needed.

But it let me play it a few days ago? I was playing on Master. I'm not sure I understand why I can't play it now.

If the strike this week is a shadowkeep strike, than yes you will need shadowkeep for it. You will need to get shadowkeep anyway because the chest requires the shadowkeep dungeon (pitt of heresy).

And a nightmare hunt is also needed for the gloves.

The third upgrade of soltice magnificent armor tasks involve the dungeon on the moon, 7 win on trials, master nightfall, hunt nightmare and forgot the last piece. But yeah is forcing f2p and anyone don't own Shadowkeep dlc to get it.

Well I won't be buying a damn thing unless there could have been more pve activity to do solo and less stressful.

While advertising it as a free event.. Yeah the event is mostly free, unless you want to complete the final objectives on magnificent.

You also need Shadowkeep for the Gauntlets, unless Nightmare Hunts are not for free too.
Also the Strike is only for the glow, which you can alternatively buy from Eververse.

if i only knowed that this event was an excuse to add a paywall and buy shadowkeep i wouldnt lost my time doing the tasks

I think the nightmare hunt would count with Festive of the lost but can't confirm that.
