Collectors mostly. I have friends that wanted to get it and probably would have if covid wasn't a thing.
Its your money of course but you could show any metal Smith a picture and they could make it for half the price. Outside of just wanting to collect stuff it has zero value.
Sure, Season of Dawn had a legend sundial encounter, Season of the Worthy had that flawless Seraph Tower one, and Arrivals has the dungeon requirements. But it's nothing like the Reckoner grind or flawless raid completions for Blacksmith. The Virgin Savior vs the Chad Undying.
Maybe it was because there wasn't actually that much else to like, DO during those seasons, but maybe it's so they can sell more seal pins to suckers like me who can't resist a bit of shiny collectible tat.
(I didn't get the Dawn/Worthy pins but Arrivals is really nice so...)
Free to play friendly tbh. There aren't many people that actually buy the merch.
