Who to start as or main as

I'm trying to decide who I should main as. All the class seem to play the same but I can't seem to make up my mind witch one to play first. I would like to hear who each class play and what playstyle each one is like, including the subclass. I won't mind hear out witch subclass is good right now. I forgot to say I mostly like doing PvE stuff and I consied myself mostly doing DPS stuff.

It depends on what you're looking to do. Warlocks are essentially the warrior scholars/monks of the Universe. Hunters are the Rogues, think Man With No Name Archetypes and Titans are frontline soldiers built for exactly that.

If you want big DPS and the ability to heal choose a Warlock

If you want a highly mobile character that can do well in a variety of situations choose a Hunter

If you want a Tank that excels in things like PVP and weapon buffs choose the Titan.

For what may I ask? PvP? PvE?

For PvP it depends, do you want to go very fast? Warlock is your best bet. Do you want to be a tank and killing machine? Titan is your class. Do you want to be able to spam dodge and be a CQC monster? Go Hunter.

For PvE it also depends, do you want to be able to solo stuff like dungeons? Warlock is the easiest to do this with. Do you want to help your team with damage phase and be able to consistently perform? Titan time. Do you want to be able to massive damage or massive crowd control? Hunter is for you.

However, this all comes down to how you play and the weapons you use.

Make all 3 classes, and just do public events to try them out. Don't get into story quests, untill you decide for yourself

-My fav is warlock void, it's just cool to launch this huge ball of destruction at the enemy :D
I did get an exotic arm (ark subclass), that turns my grenades into ark turrets, been having alot of fun with that.

Titan is my 2nd fav void, luv that shield/bubble
Lastly Hunter solar, it's got some coolness to the class,

So yea just try them all out, with each subclass
It's now super easy to lv up, depending on what you do, you could be lv 1000 in a day

Not entirely true. Hunters are currently the slowest class, due to top tree dawnblade still being fairly fast, and catapult lift also being able to go fairly fast.

Will keep this short, warlock. Best class for solo stuff and with well of radiance it's the best for team stuff too.

Go hunter if you want a good character for PvP. Hunter can also be strong as part of a team inside of pve as an orb generator.

If you enjoy the taste of crayons then you have titans.

Hunter is my go to. Pretty good in PvP and Bonkers in PvE, and from what i read you like PvE so i'll keep this to that, also will keep this short as im writing at 3AM.

Void has great survivability and crowd control with the Void subs invis and smoke, at 100 mobility you get your dodge every 9 seconds and with the graviton forfeit exotic your invis lasts nearly as long (editing from solor, top void for invis on dodge bottom for invis plus neutral game bonus on self smoke, pairs well with khepri). Plus voids tether makes groups of tough enemies easy to deal with and does good boss damage depending on subclass.

Solar is pretty fun. With mid tree you can throw a spread of flaming knives that recharge your dodge, use gamblers dodge to recharge your throwing knives and repeat that. Mix in a cloak mod to give super energy on every dodge and you can get that thing out pretty fast. that subs super is a ton of exploding knives that kill pretty much everything btw. Solars other trees are also pretty good, bottom plus nighthawk for insane boss damage and top for... something i forget rn.

Arc. Im not a fan of roaming melee supers and i dont like CqC, too stressful for me, so someone else is gonna have to give their opinion on if its good.
