Hunters have no viable subclasses.
God I hope the new Stasis subclass for Hunter is good. Hunters don't have a single viable super for PvE OR PvP. I've been a Hunter main since D1Y1, and my god it sucks. PvE Warlocks have Well and Titans have Bubble. What do we have? A dumb bow that is useless. PvP Warlocks have Dawnblade and Titans have Hammers and Fists. What do we have? A dinky ♥♥♥ pistol and some ♥♥♥♥ roaming supers that are completely useless because they require you to be on the ground. Wish I could change to Titan or Warlock, but literally ALL of my progress is on my Hunter and it's too much of a hassle to switch classes.

Edit: Today I learned that the class isn't the problem, I am. I should focus on improving rather than finding something to blame for my lack of skill.

You're either trolling hard or you really don't know how to use your hunter, lol.

I'm not trolling, I just think it's time we get some subclasses that can compete with Warlock and Titan. There's a reason why people run Warlock and Titan before Hunter for endgame content, it's because we don't have anything decent.

Can't recall the amount of times i've died from spectral.

Spectral blades are garbage though, you die in one sniper headshot while in your super. Other subclasses can tank two or more sniper headshots. It's so unfair. Not to mention the amount of times I've popped Spectral only to get one hit by Fist of Havoc, which, btw, other supers can survive.

I run hunter for endgame content and I've never had anyone be like 'ehh, get on another toon'. I did solo flawless PoH on my hunter just a few weeks ago. I've done all the major raids flawless on my hunter.

Look, if hunters were so bad and were so outmatched by the other classes and people only ran lock and titan for end game content, how come they're the most played class? Bungie actually had to nerf hunter progression in the guardian games event to try to make it even because so many more people roll hunter than anything else.

Even in PVP, go on the Bungie forums and you'll find thread after thread moaning about hunters needing nerfed because they are the most played class in level pvp.

Hunters aren't meant to be a support class. I don't want to all of a sudden have a healing subclass. Their only support type ability is tether, and that's a very viable super to use in any content, solo or group.

I'm looking forward to a new subclass for some variety but I certainly think hunters currently are in a good spot in terms of viability for any content.

Hunters are the most player class because they have cloaks. That's enough to get a ton of people to play Hunter.

Mate try putting on bottom tree golden gun and celestial nighthawk then shoot a boss in the face and tell me hunters are at a disadvantage over locks and titans, lol. Seriously, I'm a hunter main but I play all three classes and I can honestly say hunters are viable for any content and certainly aren't disadvantaged over other classes.

i call bs on that, depending on the sniper archetype used ... you need 3 2 or 1 shot to kill any roaming super, the fact that you don't know about this makes me wonder about your knowledge of the game and if you aren't pulling stuff out of your ass....
Ok, than explain to me why Spectrals get one shotted by supers that don't one shot other supers. For example, Dawnblade and Fist of Havoc one shot Spectrals but don't one shot most other roaming supers.

You've just kind of proven that you don't actually have a point here. You're free to feel bored with the class, that's up to you and I'd suggest you try the other classes to get a proper comparison, however making silly arguments without any basis kind of does nothing, lol.

2000 hour hunter here. Spectral blades is extremely strong in PvP, Golden Gun (3 and 6 shot) is exceptional if you train to use it. Tethers and Blade Barrage are invaluable, as is Celestial Nighthawk, in PvE, and basically all Arc Staff trees are strong in PvP too. It sounds to me like you just don't really know how to use them all yet.

Also, a high impact sniper will one shot any super with a headshot. Besides, Spectrals isn't meant to be a tank super. I'm not sure where any of your points have come from, besides the fact that you're a subpar Hunter. Please take some time to practise before calling the class bad, or alternately, just switch classes now.

the point I was trying to make about PVE is related to survivability. Hunter survivability compared to locks and titans is ♥♥♥♥... damage isn't the complaint, unless we're talking about supers in pvp.
Again I gotta disagree here. I mentioned in another post I did solo flawless PoH the other week and that was on my hunter - you can't do that without the ability to survive. An on-demand instant invisibility that can have several charges, instantly reloads your equipped weapon and has a ridiculously short cooldown is actually one of the best survivability abilities in the game. I'd take that over rift or barricade 99% of the time.

Don't come at me telling me that I'm a subpar hunter. I've been a Hunter main since D1Y1, I of all people should know the ins and outs of the class. So stop lying to yourself that it's not a bad class, it sucks ass.
