Why is getting thorn crucible quest step so damn toxic?

Its almost impossible with all the cheaters and players with two shot kill weapons

It's an extremely easy quest, you get no penalty for dying, but it might take you a while.
it takes about 3-5 hours to get the final quest step completed if you have a void hand cannon. The rest of the steps are extremely easy to complete on Control.

Not really, I started this quest prior to Season of Arrivals.
It is long and hard quest if you try only Controll.

I suggest stop doing Controll and just try in Survive, cause it gives you the most progress. Also I don't know if void weapons like Gnawing Hunger progress the quests, so just stick to your Void Supers, granades and if you can work with hand cannon that will be nice too.

How curious, the first three "Crucible" steps have ways to be done without touching Crucible. And of course one has to go into Crucible for a weapon that is primarily designed for PvP usage.

What about Last Word. You need to get precision kills with a handgun in the crucible. A kill gives you 1%, a dead substracts 2%. Good luck getting that in today's crucible with free to play and cheaters everywhere.
I never liked pvp much for any game. Why not give some PVE (soloable) and PVP options to complete an exotic quest. Doing raids is also not an option for most, as it takes 5 more people and time.
I don't mind doing a long and hard PVE chain quest but I'm not good enough in PVP to complete thje crucible sections. Either I face very good players or either a cheater with god mode, teleport or other cheat enabled.

This. And you don't need Precision Hand Cannon kills. You don't even need Hand Cannon kills. Every weapon kill counts.

And it isn't evn that hard to do, anyone with semi okayish aim/plays can do it. If it was actually impossible than 95% of the playerbase wouldn't have it to begin with.

The only thing that threw me off was the final part, spent like 45 minutes there until i've figured out that you need to shoot them in correct order..

Thorn can be a pain for those of us that not into crucible.
It's not a hard quest, just takes forever for non pvp vets.
You do get more points foor hand cannon kills, but as long as its void, you can use somthing else, i really liked that fusion gun that xur had a few days ago

I'm at 30% for the quest, yea it's a grind. But at least you don't loose points

Lumina is more annoying than thorn imo.
