What content has matchmaking?

What content in the game has random player matchmaking, and which one requires you to pair with people before going into it?

The only time I've done a raid was back when the game first came out, and there was only one raid. I think I did it two or three times, and never did a raid again, but I recall that you had to create a group before doing it, unlike the vangaurd and PvP and PvEvP modes.

So, which modes/content has matchmaking where you can play with randoms, and what content requires you to make a party first?

Stuff that requires a party:

- Raids.
- Nightfall ordeal above 1020.
- Nightmare hunt above hero.
- Special strikes for exotic quests (Thorn/legend of acrius etc).
- Trials.
- Legacy nightfalls depending on what you want (They are on the right in the strikes tab).

The rest of content can be played solo or has matchmaking build in.

the only other non matchmade thing are story missions, nothing else to add

Ah yeah, those are indeed without matchmaking.

Worth noting that you can see if any mission has matchmaking before you launch it. No guessing or memorization needed.

True, but some things that say they don't have matchmaking do, like the IX realm thing for the drifter, where you can get gambit role items. Seems like an open zone with "public events", but still doesn't say matchmaking with it.
