Destiny 2
10% XP Ghost shells
Are seriously all the exotic ghost shells that give you 10% more xp in the f'ing cash shop? Every ghost i hover over with xp buff says source: eververse. 10% more xp from all sources will alleviate a lot of grind so this is unacceptable and outrageous. what will the fanboys and corporate drones say to defend this i wonder..

Then the reality hits you exp doesnt really serve much purpose in the game, and realize your complaining about nothing

It levels up your season journey and artifact, which is endless, meaning at no point will somebody without a 10% boost ever catch up to somebody with a 10% boost that both play the same amount of time. The 10% exp boost in this case is a direct power boost from the artifact and bonus nostalgic engrams.

These bonuses are not significant though, especially considering the paid bonuses from owning the season pass. So if this is the fight one is picking, it's pretty trivial and there are better things to go after.

The artifact is not endless, and when you hit 100 at seasonal it ends and you collect eververse engrams instead like before.

Also that last part is just whataboutism, but yeah it is indeed trivial.

The artifact is actually "endless". On paper, you can level it up infinitely. However, the xp requirements are exponential so eventually it becomes meaningless and since it resets in 2 months it literally doesn't matter

AFAIK it caps at lvl 12, and the power bonus goes to 20. If it's endless that's cool, but i don't see why it really would be anyway other than showing arbitrarily how much you've played past the power cap.
There is an exotic ghost with the 10% exp bonus in the Bright Dust Eververse item pool this season. Just wait for it to show up and buy it. Over the course of the 100 levels, Guiding Light is only a good enough bonus to make 10 of them essentially free. This really isn't that big of a deal considering you can easily knock out 3 levels a day just doing bounties even without the 10% bonus. So that's just an extra 3-4 days you'll have play compared to someone with Guiding Light. It's really nothing.

The power bonus from the artifact is endless, this is confirmed by the devs and is listed in the patch notes, and like I said over-leveling the season journey is extra nostalgic engrams, you get one every 5 levels above 100.

The difference is absolutely tiny, but it's never going to be "meaningless" because 10% is always 10%. It might mean hitting +23 power two days before some body without it, that's a tangible bonus. The fact that it resets only makes it more worthwhile to grab early rather than trying to get it through normal gameplay. Some people are most certainly competing for top artifact levels for the season, and I'd bet you $50 the person who "wins" that race will have been using a 10% exp ghost the vast majority of the time. For most players it's going to be a trivial difference though like I said.

"Have been available" which means they are no longer available apparently. How the f does that help me?
I don’t see a problem with such a significant bonus being available seasonally
it's not really an issue. FFXIV has the same thing for when you pre-ordered expansions or through their "Recruit a Friends" campaigns

You're going to reach a point where it's mathematically impossible to rank up further within a two month reset. And you'd be surprised how low it would be with exponential experience requirements. It would be something easily obtained whether you are using a 10% bonus or not as long as you play the game.

It literally does not matter

It's not exponential though, or even truly curved, it appears to be mostly linear, minus the first few levels which are accelerated. Every +1 power rating costs 100k exp more than the last. IE +10 to +11 is like 1,100,000 exp, +13 to +14 is 1,400,000 exp.
