Exotic Quests without PVP
So im really not a fan of pvp in this game and it seems that most exotic quests try to force it. Can anyone give me a list of exotics that do NOT require me to play any of the pvp modes and how to obtain them?

Sleeper Stimulant and Whisper of the Worm are well worth getting your hands on as a New Light player. Both quest exotics that don't require any PVP to complete.

Be careful, though. You need to also check to see what their catalysts (if they have them) drop from/require. There's some that, for some bizzare reason, require PvP, even though the weapon isn't acquired exclusively from PvP. (MIDA Multi-Tool is a prime example...)

Honestly, they should've never made non-raid Exotics and Catalysts require exclusively one play mode or the other. Let people progress by playing what they prefer, don't force people into what they don't want to do. That just breeds resentment in players.

yep... so does the pvp tryhards trying to overcompensate for adquacy issues when the only people in pvp are other tryhards trying to over compensate... and thus they cant fish for easy wins and start throwing a tantrum..

its all about trying to strong arm people into pvp so that the tryhards arent constantally getting matched against other tryhards or having long queues...

honestly id take no issue with quests requiting pvp... if the pvp actually had skill based matchmaking, (seems this game uses "trueskill" matchmaking, which is the worst system out there but developers love it because it keeps queue times low).. I could make an entire thread explaining how trueskill works compared to tradtional mmr, and Why its all around bad.

Team stacking is also another big issue that needs to be addressed.. i dont care if people want to group up and make organized teams for pvp.. but when 80% of your matches you see your side is all pick up group and the other team all has the same clan tag.. in 80% of your matches.... yea thats fair. Though i know bungie wont ever do anything about this... since as soon as they do and premades fight premades, the crying "its not fair we get punished for pvping in groups" will start.. because god forbid you cant pvp without crutches.

Resulting in all the tryhard pvpers throwing tantrums because grouping no longer provides any potential advantage

When we read, we don't pick out each individual letter in a word. We parse the shape of the word as a whole and our brain recognizes it as a word that we know. Taht's why you can sitll raed waht I'm tpynig now eevn thuogh teh lettres are in the worng oredr.

Your post was literally three words, lol. It wasn't exactly clear what you meant...

I interpreted it as you implying that the weapon was bad. It's been nerfed a few times and a lot of people assume that it's terrible without checking the numbers. "hahahahaha" isn't exactly stellar communication, lol. It's fairly open to interpretation.

Riskrunner is also a great weapon for its class

Rat's king is very easy to get too and it's a nice sidearm

I have recently dropped Merciless from a vanguard bounty but it's lackluster :(

My dream is Monte Carlo now, my Titan really wants it :lunar2019smilingpig:

RiskRunner is amazing if the enemies are shooting arc, "meh" otherwise.

Same, I need Monte Carlo to complete my one two punch build, haha.
