Language change to JAPANESE

Can I change ONLY the voice and keep the subtitles in english ?
Just wondering if that was possible , because the way I see it we can only change the global settings of the game in the properties,and not the language/ text subtitles in separate ways.

Yeah there are no subtitles for other languages only for the game language so you can't have Japanese audio with English subtitles

If you still want to know the only option you got is Library - Right click on Destiny 2 - Properties - Language. Yes it will change even the subtitles, i wish bungie would add an Option for different Text Language.

exactly, so for now my choices are limited to:
1: Switch language depending on what I wanna do and use google translator app for android to translate while in japanese,
2: just play english and hope they add a language selection later.

you could go with that video showing you how to change the language by moving game files I talked with someone that works with them on there customer suport thing and they siad as long as your not changing the files to give yourself an advantage itl be fine I swaped over my files so I got Japaneese audio and english UI and subs and it works for all the dlc everything works just fine

People who are learning languages do this alot, its a common thing to have english subtitles and the voicelines to be in a different language

Yeah well I think its stupid and seems like the devs agree

yeah dude, learning another language's as ♥♥♥♥'n stupid as it gets i tell ya, why the hell would anyone wanna learn a language or be exposed to a different culture anyway!!
