Downloading the game couple days before release so its ready to go on launch.

Preload means downloading the required stuff for an update before said update is released. This means that you already have the new content downloaded and can get into the new DLC as soon as possible.

oh pre Download, probably not, i assume on the day you will have to download when it launches.
People in other fourms were talking about moving the Destiny 2 main files and dropping it to the steam destiny so they dont need to download the whole game and it will just fix the files. and add the other files in. that can help if u have wifi.

give it a try when the game does come out and save 105 GB worth of your time, if it doesn't work oh well get the old ethernet cable and tell everyone to not use the internet

There will be pre-download with this game like there has been with many other games on steam it will get all but a few 100mb and then when it launch's it will get the rest with a small update and you should be good to go.

They will be, they aren't about to change the file structure.

still there would be a massive update for Shadowkeep and base game
