Why is the LFG discord for RAIDs full of toxic people?
As far as possible I try to find a group with a "Chill" tag so that I don't have to worry about whiners and toxic people. However, no matter which group I find, there's always that one guy that goes, "I bet some of you don't even have 10+ completions but whatever"
Now don't get me wrong, I have ran multiple raids multiple times. I know the mechanics and even the cheese tactics if needed. These include Raids from Scourge, garden, leviathan, last wish etc.
What I don't understand is that people expect other players, whom they've never played with, to be familiar with their play style of the RAID. Like wtf man, I just met you, How tf am I supposed to know that you make callouts differently or run specific sections of the RAID anti clockwise or clockwise. Is everyone expected to be a mind reader on LFG discord?

Where do I start with this mess and it's the very first question I ever ask before the raid starts with the first encounter, how do YOU do this or I explain how I have completed it in the past and tell me what the difference is....now, this is where I can tell how it will go by who actually speaks and or explains. You can tell almost immediately by said feedback if it's going to be a toxic run or a very laid back run or in between.
By your username you must be in my age group per-say (55 here) and I do not have time for child like behavior, if its smells like a duck, walks like a duck and etc. I bail immediately with a polite have a wonderful day but this isn't for me, thank you for your time..

I'm 24 but I try to be decent to every player I come across. However, most people on LFG have the maturity of a 10 year old. If something doesn't go exactly the way they want it to, they'll throw a tantrum.

Kind of straying away from your original topic but if you were looking for people to do Raids with I'd be down. I've never ran any.

Because elites take something that is just for fun to seriously. Just consider them the immature children they are and ignore them completelly. You have as much right to play the game as they do. Play your game and if they have a problem let them be the ones to suffer over it..Not you.Nothing in the rules of the game say you have to know exactly what to do or you have to listen to a toxic person. Let them throw a fit and do not even reply to them. Let them stew.

The game just sucks, that makes the playing folks frustrated and they let it out in toxicity.

Emil Jun 23, 2020 @ 1:17pm
most people dont expect you to know their playstyle lol, just the main meta strats and cheeses, like spire 1st encounter skip, crown parkour skip and so on

Yes this is the age of instant gratification and participation Awards... you can thank your Educators and modern-day parenting for this.. been playing online games since the original Xbox and I have seeing this attitude and behavior get progressively worse over time... just as much in real life as in video games
