Crucible is a Horrible Experience
For starters I would not complain about this mode's existence and just completely ignore it but there's plenty of exotic weapon quests that require grinding on it.

I am a FPS veteran on PC, played the Quakes, the Counter Strikes, the Battlefields and many other shooters, I mentioned this cause I know a lot of ppl here are going to jump on me like I'm a new player and I don't know what I am talking about.

The weapon balance "IN THIS MODE" is god awful, clearly it was not designed with PC in mind but consoles and their inaccurate controllers, yesterday I got the Ace of Spades and I'm just shooting laser beams with it with very little to no recoil, holy cow. Let's not forget that there's plenty of others but this one of the most popular ones.

From what I have experienced so far; for you to shred in the crucible all you have to do is be a TITAN: SUNBREAKER and play with a hand-full of HAND CANNONS and SHOTGUNS, that is if you are a decent player and know what you're doing of course.

The netcode -___- I really don't know if this mode uses a different iteration of what Bungie uses for PVE or Gambit because it sure doesn't look like it. Every day I get disconnected 4/10* while either loading a map or half-way through the match (WHICH IS REALLY ANNOYING) that doesn't happen while playing PVE or Gambit.
Speaking of loading the map, this game might have the longest queue/load screen to start a match ever, why do you need to load planets instead of just having a splash screen and go straight to the match? not only that but there's also a short intro of the map/players to make even longer. When it comes to PVE being in orbit before traveling to other planets doesn't bother me but in PVP it does.

One of my biggest complain is getting matched with players from Asia, I live on the east coast and there's no need for this game to put me against ppl across the world. According to steamcharts.com this game has a decent population so I really don't get it. Speaking of Asian players I will also say that I have encountered a few hackers over the past few days but I won't say where they from to not offend anybody.

Overall I really dislike the crucible, you can't really experiment with the vast amount of weapons this game offers when you know only 2 category dominate the field. Again I would ignore it and keep playing the rest of the game but every time I have quest that requires me to do something in it with an specific weapon I get annoyed.

What ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ positions? What part of a position is getting insta snipped by someone across the map with a hand cannon. What position is getting killed by someone flying in the air as a warlock throwing fire swords that insta kills you the second you look at it?. Dude just admit the game is horrible balanced for people that dont sit & do crucible every second of this games lifespan.

PvP is unbalanced as ♥♥♥♥ & will remain unbalanced until Bungo removes super abilities & just makes so we cant hop into a game with personal weapons.

♥♥♥♥♥ a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess but the bungo bingo fanbois wont admit it cause they got the devs c0ck so far down their throat all they are seeing is a balanced game lmfao.

LOL IKR... I do give credit to Bungie cause the maps look beautiful but the layout... oh lord they are horrible. Making maps for several types of modes has never work, that is a fact.

Have you tried the new counter-strike mode (bomb defusal/planting) ? It's ghaulawful

Hand cannons cannot onehit you, unless it is some maxed out 110 with full rampage and swashbuckle. And even with these two you cannot die because of the range. You see the game works in such way that if game says he can't hit you, he can't. You can check it with a sniper rifle. Get the one with minimal range you can find, scope and shoot at the guy across the map. You wouldn't even hit him. Your range isn't high enough for bullet to actually connect to the target. That is the reason you should max your range in every possible way you can. Rangefinder, range modifications etc.
That is not CS:GO. It is destiny 2, with magnetic melee, magnetic bullets, magnetic everything. In CS:GO bullet always flies forward, nothing can affect it. In destiny 2 your bullet "connects" to the target, instead of going forward in any case. If the game cannot "see" the enemy, you won't hit it. So the possibility that you're getting killed by a HC at long range seems unrealistic enough for me to say you're lying or raging, you choose.

Flying warlock is an easy target for tether, sniper rifle etc. Any long range gun, super etc would easily let you kill your enemy if you're good enough to go for the head (don't be Thor from MCU). You say it is not balanced, well. The autor of this topic clearly doesn't understand it so I won't even try with him (clearly said it above), tho I may try with you.

Is CS:GO balanced? no, answer is no. It is balanced in some ways, not "perfectly" balanced or even "well" balanced. Balance is equality. What equality is there if you buy an SMG, but your enemy buys an AWP? Is it balanced? No. You're in disadvantage against the enemy with a scoping rifle at long range. You'd die if he catches you out there in the field. 99% for you to die, 1% for him to miss a few bullets. So what you do when you buy an SMG? You go to close range positions, to be IN ADVANTAGE. That is in short, I could write an essay on the topic why CS:GO, Dota 2, Hearthstone or any other game isn't balanced, it would take hours so I won't.
Is destiny 2 balanced? no, again. It is balanced in some ways. A player with a scoping rifle would keep the distance to BE IN ADVANTAGE. A warlock with a dawnblade super will try to kill you with his sword because he is in advantage. What you can do is take your advantage back and play accordingly to the weapon you have. If you have a shotgun, go close. Rifle? Run, take the long range and kill him while not letting him to kill you with a sword. Or play hunter, tether him so even if you die, your teammates would end him instantly and it would be 1 for 1 trade instead of 1 for 3 or even 0 for 3 (or bigger fireteams, I took survival as an example). It is not balanced enough, PVP still sucks, but again, not for the reasons autor of the topic or you listed. You miss the forest for the trees.

Funny that you also said <dont sit & do crucible every second of this games lifespan>. Ykr that you wouldn't be able to play good ANY game out there if you haven't spent a good amount of time playing it? Life is the same. If you were learning some science 20 years ago would you be able to come back and instantly understand new scientists? No, because the time doesn't stand still. New ways are discovered, new experiments and proofs as well etc. So is any game. Being good at any other shooter doesn't automatically give you the ability to wreck everyone in any shooter, but you have a good head start. Someone who haven't ever played any shooter has none advantages, while you have a big one: experience.

Destiny has great shooting mechanics and great optimization all the things that make a great pvp shooting experience,,, but yeah crucible is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AWFUL. I dont see how anyone would play destiny pvp over ANY other shooter. In a huge market with great shooters atm: valorant, cs go, siege, apex, and Cod warzone/MW , destiny isnt even on the charts.

The fact is we all signed up for a SHOOTER not to have some crayon eating ♥♥♥♥ of a titan run in circle till his 1 hit melee comes up.

I'm with op here. Usually I would just say that it's bad and just not play it but the quests behind it make you have to play it if you want to complete collections or just chase an exotic.

I'm currently working on the witherhoard catalyst and the PvP grenade kills are not that hard at all however in the process I did a step of the redrix quest, which is a weapon that is gonna be made pointless with the sunsetting yet it has argubly the worst grind to even get it.

Bungie then removes SBMM so now you can get team mates that play the game like it's cs, camping lanes or the cod crowd that just ape. It's clear that bungie just want people to play it, hence why the 2 best pve weapons are tied to a PvP activity. Bungie want it to be something fun you can just jump into but fun is the last thing I experience when I play it.

Like op I have a background in fps games both on console and for the last 8 years on pc and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. Its frustrating, it's unbalanced and you can't have a decent structured conversation with PvP players about it because they defend it. All I want is to have PvP as an option and not a requirement. Warframe does it perfectly, they know their PvP is bad and would take way too much to make it better so they don't make it a requirement. Bungie, as a fan of the game and you as developers please, please stop making me play a game mode that is just not fun.

Valorant is raw, very teamplay based (although it has some real precision aim that feels really good, unlike the next game you mentioned).
CS:GO is dead unless you play FACEIT/ESEA.
SS is dead mostly because of the queue time, lack of balance and very knowledge requiring. If you don't know the map you're playing good enough, or you have no experience playing against certain abilities, you've no chance. Any guy can sit in the corner, bury a hole in it and onehit you. With certainty I'll say that destiny 2 is much more easier to master than SS.
Haven't played or even seen apex so I have no chance at finding out is it good or not. Let's assume yes.
Any COD game there is very easy. Ive played Black Ops series, MW series and some of the last ones I can't even recall the title of. They all have something in common: they don't require you to think. Just automated things required. In Black Ops mostly used raw aim with no positioning, before, MW3 or 2 clearly remember the dropping to the ground tactic every time you encounter an enemy. You'll most likely win any gunfight 1v1 using the same things in every situation.
So as a player of 4 of 5 games you listed, I say that you're totally wrong about "play any shooter except destiny's PVP". And probably the "great shooting mechanics" part, that is wrong as well. Although it may be optimized greatly or whatever else you mentioned there.
These two:

The recluse is still a S tier weapon. The only reason it won't be after this season is because sunsetting. Its been a meta weapon since it was released man, you can't even refuse that.

Do you see my "member" comment it used to be (or still is idc) the best weapon to use in the energy slot in pve and being locked behind ranked pvp was retarded

That's the argument I'm making man..
My post above mentioned how they have locked the best pve weapons behind PvP. PvP meta is just auto rifles, shotguns and anything with high bullet magnetism.

Its not the first time Bungie want PVE focus only player do PVP activity, feels like been Rap3 i know, but no choice, the juicy stuff lock behind sweaty activities.

You state that your a FPS veteran, yet I see that you only have 473 hours on quake and 414 hours on cs? Fair enough if you have more than one account on steam. If you have something against the crucible you clearly need to go more in-depth about what it truly offers. As someone who has been a destiny fan ever since it released I can for sure tell you that the crucible is one of the best parts to the game series. I only have 15 hours on hand right now, but had over 1010+ hours when it was published on battle.net...
