LOL IKR... I do give credit to Bungie cause the maps look beautiful but the layout... oh lord they are horrible. Making maps for several types of modes has never work, that is a fact.
Have you tried the new counter-strike mode (bomb defusal/planting) ? It's ghaulawful
That is not CS:GO. It is destiny 2, with magnetic melee, magnetic bullets, magnetic everything. In CS:GO bullet always flies forward, nothing can affect it. In destiny 2 your bullet "connects" to the target, instead of going forward in any case. If the game cannot "see" the enemy, you won't hit it. So the possibility that you're getting killed by a HC at long range seems unrealistic enough for me to say you're lying or raging, you choose.
Flying warlock is an easy target for tether, sniper rifle etc. Any long range gun, super etc would easily let you kill your enemy if you're good enough to go for the head (don't be Thor from MCU). You say it is not balanced, well. The autor of this topic clearly doesn't understand it so I won't even try with him (clearly said it above), tho I may try with you.
Is CS:GO balanced? no, answer is no. It is balanced in some ways, not "perfectly" balanced or even "well" balanced. Balance is equality. What equality is there if you buy an SMG, but your enemy buys an AWP? Is it balanced? No. You're in disadvantage against the enemy with a scoping rifle at long range. You'd die if he catches you out there in the field. 99% for you to die, 1% for him to miss a few bullets. So what you do when you buy an SMG? You go to close range positions, to be IN ADVANTAGE. That is in short, I could write an essay on the topic why CS:GO, Dota 2, Hearthstone or any other game isn't balanced, it would take hours so I won't.
Is destiny 2 balanced? no, again. It is balanced in some ways. A player with a scoping rifle would keep the distance to BE IN ADVANTAGE. A warlock with a dawnblade super will try to kill you with his sword because he is in advantage. What you can do is take your advantage back and play accordingly to the weapon you have. If you have a shotgun, go close. Rifle? Run, take the long range and kill him while not letting him to kill you with a sword. Or play hunter, tether him so even if you die, your teammates would end him instantly and it would be 1 for 1 trade instead of 1 for 3 or even 0 for 3 (or bigger fireteams, I took survival as an example). It is not balanced enough, PVP still sucks, but again, not for the reasons autor of the topic or you listed. You miss the forest for the trees.
Funny that you also said <dont sit & do crucible every second of this games lifespan>. Ykr that you wouldn't be able to play good ANY game out there if you haven't spent a good amount of time playing it? Life is the same. If you were learning some science 20 years ago would you be able to come back and instantly understand new scientists? No, because the time doesn't stand still. New ways are discovered, new experiments and proofs as well etc. So is any game. Being good at any other shooter doesn't automatically give you the ability to wreck everyone in any shooter, but you have a good head start. Someone who haven't ever played any shooter has none advantages, while you have a big one: experience.
I'm currently working on the witherhoard catalyst and the PvP grenade kills are not that hard at all however in the process I did a step of the redrix quest, which is a weapon that is gonna be made pointless with the sunsetting yet it has argubly the worst grind to even get it.
Bungie then removes SBMM so now you can get team mates that play the game like it's cs, camping lanes or the cod crowd that just ape. It's clear that bungie just want people to play it, hence why the 2 best pve weapons are tied to a PvP activity. Bungie want it to be something fun you can just jump into but fun is the last thing I experience when I play it.
Like op I have a background in fps games both on console and for the last 8 years on pc and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. Its frustrating, it's unbalanced and you can't have a decent structured conversation with PvP players about it because they defend it. All I want is to have PvP as an option and not a requirement. Warframe does it perfectly, they know their PvP is bad and would take way too much to make it better so they don't make it a requirement. Bungie, as a fan of the game and you as developers please, please stop making me play a game mode that is just not fun.
CS:GO is dead unless you play FACEIT/ESEA.
SS is dead mostly because of the queue time, lack of balance and very knowledge requiring. If you don't know the map you're playing good enough, or you have no experience playing against certain abilities, you've no chance. Any guy can sit in the corner, bury a hole in it and onehit you. With certainty I'll say that destiny 2 is much more easier to master than SS.
Haven't played or even seen apex so I have no chance at finding out is it good or not. Let's assume yes.
Any COD game there is very easy. Ive played Black Ops series, MW series and some of the last ones I can't even recall the title of. They all have something in common: they don't require you to think. Just automated things required. In Black Ops mostly used raw aim with no positioning, before, MW3 or 2 clearly remember the dropping to the ground tactic every time you encounter an enemy. You'll most likely win any gunfight 1v1 using the same things in every situation.
So as a player of 4 of 5 games you listed, I say that you're totally wrong about "play any shooter except destiny's PVP". And probably the "great shooting mechanics" part, that is wrong as well. Although it may be optimized greatly or whatever else you mentioned there.
These two: are wrong
upd: unsubbed, i'm tired. if anyone needs to renew any argument with me, feel free to add me to friends and write. Nice day to everyone except the author.
The recluse is still a S tier weapon. The only reason it won't be after this season is because sunsetting. Its been a meta weapon since it was released man, you can't even refuse that.
That's the argument I'm making man..
My post above mentioned how they have locked the best pve weapons behind PvP. PvP meta is just auto rifles, shotguns and anything with high bullet magnetism.
