If you care about a solid story and missing stuff Destiny is not the game for you. Destiny is basically a F2P MMO with way less content and tons of grinding

You easily have time to do all the planets if you start now.

That's not an answer to his question - will new players not be able to access the original game anymore?

Planets are not being deleted. they are being moved. all will still be playable.

You guys really should get D2 news from Bungie.net and not from Steam rumor and rant forum

All will be playable at certain times... That's not the same thing.

No, they're getting 'vaulted', which means not playable by anyone.

Next year they MAY bring SOME content back, but not all of it, and when they do that, they're going to 'vault' (ie. remove) other content in its place.

As it stands, you will no longer be able to play all of the existing content once things start getting removed/'vaulted'.

You haven't missed anything yet, but a lot is going away in 3 months.

Whether you have the time to do it all or not by then depends on how much you play.

I would recommend at least doing the three free campaigns.

They have 3 months to access the content from the base game and the first two DLCs.

When the new expansion launches, in September, a lot of it is going away.

"The primary D2 content leaving the game and going into the DCV this fall are the destinations – Mars, Io, Titan, Mercury and Leviathan – and their supported activities."

Old stuff is being vaulted to make room for new stuff. Vaulted content will return on a rotating basis.

D2 needs to do this to keep being able to add new content and keep the game to a reasonable size.
OR we have a game that takes up 250gb+, takes 10+ min to load.....

OR they stop adding new content, kill D2 entirely and just move on to D3

Don't put it on a timer at all is what I'm saying. Just make another game at this point.

It's not gonna matter if you do it or not, you ain't gonna understand wtf is going on even if you do without watching 100h of lore videos on Youtube.

Which, btw, everyone should cause it's awesome.

Just get Warframe instead. Those devs clearly cared much more than Destiny ever did

For fixing glitch who help many people to get MR28? and ban people for them fault? and not fixing old bugs on PoE?

Funny you should mentioned that.

I started with Warframe, lost interest (after ~120h), tried out Destiny on a whim, not expecting to stick around, and yet I'm still here (after ~520h).

Destiny even managed to get me to buy their DLC, and I'll probably be getting the deluxe edition of the expansion; I never even considered spending a penny on Warframe.

For context, I'm someone who has more games than I could ever play (so it's not lack of options that's keeping me here), and who usually only buys things that are heavily discounted in sales. Buying the deluxe edition of a thing at launch, for me, is very much not "business as usual".

There's a lot wrong with Destiny and how Bungie does things, but there's also something really special about this game.

It's not an MMO.

You wanna talk nonsensical lore, yeah if that's what you enjoy then play Warframe.
