No real penalty for losing wouldn't be very competitive.
May as well just call valor rank "competitive" if you're going to change glory to the same system.
It is for sweats only, just like trials and IB, for casuals it is merely practice for freask and aliens, hence why I don't bother
2 - Play freelance competitive if you don't want to face stacks. That's the little button near the main competitive button.
3 - Competitive up to Fabled is really, really easy to gain rank in. You lose almost nothing for a loss. This wasn't always the case. Getting to Fabled a few seasons ago was the equivalent of getting to Mythic now.
4 - This is a bad season to do competitive anything in the crucible. Low playerbase means only the sweats, cheaters and gods are left. The Trials fiasco means that a good chunk of the players you're facing are wallhacking or aimbotting. That guy who never misses with Summoner? Yeah, he's not that good, he just dropped $20 on a cheat because he's an entitled jerk.
5 - Don't kick yourself for not getting Legend or Flawless this season, but don't blame your teammates either. You can ALL improve.
