cant change my key bindings

has anyone else not been able to change your key bindings. I cant change them it wont let me, i click the box to change the key, then i click the button to i want to change to but it doesn't change to it can some one help me with this

I as well, have been unable to change my keybindings to any desired key. Been online searching forever and have been unable to locate a solution to this problem.

"This keybinding issue may be resolved by deleting CVARS.xml.
To clear CVARS, players must:
1) Close Destiny 2
2) See file directory: \Users\USER_NAME\Appdata\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs\
3) Select and delete the CVARS.xml file in this directory
4) Relaunch Destiny 2

PLEASE NOTE: When relaunched, Destiny 2 will generate a fresh CVARS.xml file. This will revert all custom player settings in Destiny 2 to their defaults. Players may readjust these settings to their preference by relaunching Destiny 2 and visiting Settings after selecting a character.
If you still encounter this issue after following these troubleshooting steps, please reply back to this post."

My friend hasnt played destiny 2 for the longest time because of this bug, he attempted the CVARS.xml file deletion and reset however Destiny 2 when making the new file will create a corrupted file with the same problem.
