Do most destiny players have multiple different characters?
I only use one, is this abnormal, do most have like 2-3?

I do have a three characters but two are really just there to redeem season pass cosmetics for their classes, or get the season pass/xur's exotic engrams to fill out their exotics in my collections. As I finish more and more legacy content (triumphs, old pinnacles) with my Titan, I might start doing weeklies with the other two.

Having three different characters does have its advantages other than experimenting with alternative classes.

It essentially gives you "another go" when doing raids and such, and also allows you to obtain mission rewards again, should you do certain things such as complete a campaign. (For example, you used to be able to get Eververse engrams for completing campaigns like Warmind + Osiris, though I'm not entirely sure if that reward system has been changed).

It isn't abnormal imo, some people prefer to stay as a single class all together. Though having three different characters makes collecting exotics more convenient in the long run.
I have all 3 but only play 2 of them most of the time, Hunter is my main and when I need a change of pace I have TItan. And If I am really burnt out on the other two. , or in a raid group that needs it I have a Warlock otherwise it just sits there collecting season pass gear at the end of each season.

I only have the one. I don't have the time for 3.

The game HEAVILY encourages having one of each class. Makes grinding just about everything faster.

I have one of each class.
3 characters levels you faster if you use DIM.

I'm a warlock main but yes I do have all 3 characters, although I greatly favor playing on my warlock compared to my hunter and titan. I jump on my titan or hunter when im bored of warlock and just want to have fun doing things a warlock cant do normally like monte carlo + doom fang pauldrons on my titan.

Have all three classes but play only Warlock due to the other two bringing very little new to the table so there's no good reason to ever play them.

Personal opinion, of course. ;).
I, and a lot of tothers say the same about Titans...and then there are all the Hunter mains.

most players did one character and dabbled in another or two before they quit, most players quit the game instead of doing much of the repetition endgame grinds
