Penalties for leaving early?

I haven't played in about a year and a half, and I used to get a cooldown if I left Gambit early. I noticed there isn't a cooldown now, and I noticed this because 1 in every 2 games I play of Gambit, it's 2 vs 4, or 3 vs 4, then another person leaves. There isn't any point in playing those games, we get absolutely demolished so about 10 minutes in. Is there anything being done about people leaving so mf'ing early so frequently? In my opinion, lost connection or not, crashed computer or not, there should be a penalty. I'm only saying that because of how frequently it's occurring. Maybe others here are having different experiences with matchmaking?

You still get a penalty for leaving early if you leave early a few times in a row last a I checked. The penalty isn't applied on the first match but after you have done it a few times in a row.

I guess since I've decided to stop leaving I haven't ran across any penalties but it's good to hear there's still one in place. It must be after 2

It is either 2 or 3, I honestly don't know since 1) I barely play Gambit these days, and 2) I don't quit out early unless I get error coded or an emergency happens.

Me neither dude, what's funny is I just lost a game, someone lost 15 motes then left our team. Gambit is frustrating haha
