However, there are some of them that can roll with the perk Osmosis, which gives them the same element as your grenade, after you throw it (and until you switch to another weapon). This cannot be displayed in the menu, since it depends on the element of your grenade.
Elemental weapons, aka ENERGY weapons deal elemnt dmg, void, solar or arc. Which can vary from secondary to heavy slots.
If u need some help, feel free to add me, been in game since 2018, be glad to help
What exactly does the element do or not do for a weapon? For example I have multiple hammerhead machine guns. One is a solar element type and the other is a void element type. I see no difference other than one counts towards kills in solar bounties and the other in void bounties.
Kinetic weapons excel at taking down non shielded enemies while energy weapons are made for taking down shields.
Also if you match up element types correctly the shield has a chance of exploding and damaging the user and mobs around it
Kinetic weapons tend to do less damage to shields and vice versa
To add on to Mulciber, they both do the same damage in crucible, however elementals get a bonus when you match the opponents elemantal class
That is why eg the Steelfeather Repeater can get the element of the grenade last thrown.
