Escalation Protocol Heroic Event Bug

i spent like 3 hours playing the escalation protocol event, and everytime the event comes and we complete it the escalation protocol just ENDS out of nowhere and this bug is soooo annoying i just wasted 3 hours for NOTHING!!!! BUNGIE FIX THIS!!!! does anyone else know this bug?

You need to make the public event heroic, which sucks if you got the injection rig event, it's the most difficult event to make heroic.

Anyway if you succesfully made the PE heroic and you completed it, the Escalation should continue normally, if not, the level got reduced I think.

You need to kill 2 bosses spawn at public event (hive one not public event boss) and make the event heroic

yeah sometimes the level gets reduced, and sometimes it just ends... its really strange

depends on chance, most of the players it reduces the level IF someone else triggers the protocol, if the player that started the protocol tries to redo it the event is completed.

I never had problems with Heroic Events in Escalation Protocol.
You just do Level 1, 2, 3, 4 (I think the Heroic Event is Five step, don't remember). Or if you simply need random heoric just wait until other players waste time with previous steps and go to the place of the event.

To trigger the heroic event you need to kill the Eye that shoots (Forgive I don't know the name of the mobs) shortly after it unlocks - this happens when the 2 Witches are present and you have to get away from the Thing You are Guarding. There are 3 Eyes that you have to take down shortly afther they are present in the Event. Then 2 tough bosses show up and you have to kill them within time limint.

My suggestion is to always prowl when they are unlocked and don't bother with everything else. Keep your Heavy Ammo for the 2 bosses, and take advantage by Using the Valkyrie. I almost never failed this Heroic, so it is either you doing something wrong or really there is a bug.

yeah thanks dude. i just thought that the event is automatically in heroic because the task was "complete the heroic event" and that casued my confusing. but thanks for helping :)

Where do you guys even find people on Escalations? Been on and off Mars throughout the week, saw Escalation only once and after first phase everyone left...

There are actually 3 different public events it can spawn as the EP public event.

The one you described is warsat down and can occur in both EP areas.

There is also the injection rig one in Futurscape (north) and hive ritual in drift (south).

The specific pub event it picks is fairly random. The issue is that the pub event needs to actually be made heroic AND it has an extra boss immediately. Many people will either get distracted by the extra boss and fail to trigger heroic or ignore the boss and fail to kill it to fulfill the EP requirement.

You described the warsat down pub event which is the easiest just because it's incredibly easy to trigger heroic for it and you get the valkyrie almost right away and then repeatedly throughout the event to take the special and end bosses out with.

Hive ritual is the second easiest. No valkyrie to help but it really only takes one person trying to trigger heroic to do it if they aren't unlucky and get killed 2-3 times. To trigger heroic for hive ritual there are 2 plates. You stand on a plate until it removes the shield from the wizard on it's side then kill it and repeat with the other plate for the other wizard. Then you stand on a plate until it removes the shield from the crystal on it's side then destroy it and repeat with the other plate. The 2 sides of the event can be done simultaneously by multiple people but it can also be done by 1 person who switches sides if they don't die more than once. There is a timer associated with it that you have to destroy both crystals by or it fails the trigger.

Injection rig is by far the hardest pub event in the EP chain to trigger heroic for. I think the only time I ever managed to trigger heroic for that one solo was by using super and rockets to destroy the vents. There are just too many of them and too small a window for a single person to get them all easily. Triggering heroic for the injection rig involves destroying (i think) 8 vents around the rig that can only be damaged in the periods after killing the psions. The period you can damage them is also the time where you're taking continuous damage from the bubble around the rig, It's a short window to destroy them and made even shorter by the damage you are taking.

My recommendation to get past EP hero pub event is just to run in Glacial Drift to avoid the injection rig event then learn to gauge how other players are approaching the event.

On hive ritual, if no one else is fighting the bonus boss, you should try to take it out. If everyone is fighting the boss and ignoring the heroic trigger steps, you should ignore the boss and trigger heroic.

On warsat down, you should be grabbing the valkyrie as soon as possible and using it to kill the extra boss at the start. Then just kill the marked wizard pairs and the eye that goes active 3 time and use the valkyrie to kill the end boss.

All of the EP Pub events trigger a second bonus boss at the end. This one is much easier to kill than the first extra boss or the event end boss and there aren't swarms of event adds to worry about either so just steam roll it.

im just lobby hopping until i find people doing it, sometimes people leave but i just keep going and mostly others go join and then you can complete it pretty easy

Btw, maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't think I've ever seen Heroic Trigger on Protocols with Rig Public, and after finishing it, it normally continued, reaching boss phase...

That latter 3 are NOT part of Escalation Protocol in any way. They are regular public events that can happen on other planets as well. EP only happens on Mars, and happens when someone activates one of the towers.

yes they do. when you play the EP, at stage 5 (mostly) you have to do an event, its random the injection rig, or warsat down, and you have to trigger these on heroic and compelte them, then you can finish the EP
