Did Shards of Galanor get a nerf in Gambit?

I always see these videos of people using Shards to repeatedly use their super over and over to melt a boss since they get full super but when I use it, doesn't even fill up half of my super even when all knives hit. I hate Gambit enough, why can't Bungo let me have this one thing?

Did it get nerfed, yes
In Gambit specifically, no. They're able to spam it in the tiebreaker round

Only in tiebreaker rounds? Any reason why there and not in round 1?

That is for the 3rd round, most super recharge very fast and shard of galanor give super energy in a instant.

In regular rounds in kinda ok but you recovery 1/3 of super energy

Ok that makes a bit of sense. I had originally tried it out in Gambit Prime (because I love hurting myself THAT much) and the values are pretty much the same there as it would be in round 1 from what you guys are saying.
