Sword Guarding
I've been playing for a while, and this problem hasn't really bothered me until recently - when I masterworked my Black Talon (the masterwork bonus adds a perk that relies on guarding to activate).

For whatever reason, I cannot guard with any sword (which I have been told should be possible by pressing/holding the regular melee key). My normal melee attack works fine, but no key on my entire keyboard activates the sword guard. Rebinding my melee key hasn't fixed this issue. Resetting it to default similarly does nothing.
As far as I can see, there are no threads about this issue, at least not easily accessible ones.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a fix?

My apologies. It appears I am simply an enormous idiot.
For whatever reason I had block unbound.

This issue is actually pretty common, I'd wager. I'd even gone back to default keybinds, but it just wasn't bound. I had to manually bind it too, I think they just never set a default bind for it. I set it to my reload button on keyboard, because swords don't reload anyway.

If I remember correctly, when you rebind melee and powered melee, it unbinds 'block'. I found this out during Vow of the Disciple, when I found myself holding the relic shield, unable to deploy it.
