Since they both take the same slot, would you argue that AoS is better that TLW? I don't have AoS since i never finished the forsaken campaign. (Not that interested in the story right now.)

But is it better than TLW and therefore i should do the thing? What am i missing here. (I don't think anything would get sicker than TLW. I never use any other kinetic exotic other than it. Well maybe Cerberus and Mida too sometimes.)

TLW is better than Ace. Thorn is better than either of them.

AoS is better in PvE than Last Word. But in PvP TLW is much better. An honestly AoS isnt that great in PvE either. There are far better options for hand cannons in that slot than AoS.

But if you really want an exotic in that slot then PvP -TLE PvE - AoS

Medium range, AoS, Short range TLW.

Both as good as each other in my opinion and both very fun.

I mean that permanent kill clip has to be something right? Or maybe not.

I'm just trying to find a way to hit people with TLW at longer ranges. But can't even hit while ADSing. I guess that would be above broken if that was possible.

Ace is better in ranged situations. If paired with a shotgun for example. Right now thorn is more “meta” though cuz it fires faster and kills faster.

Last Word is better in close to mid range scenarios and is often paired with a sniper

TLW is arguably better than AoS except for range and aim-down sight radar,
But you need to be relatively close to enemy for its TTK value to be effective,
Close range combat needs good aim and reflex which some players just never get used to.
Both are good weapon, pick one that suits your playstyle.

Well if you like to experimenting with guns, try Sweet Bussiness,
Its surprisingly good, the stats are somewhat deceptive,
Im pretty sure its way higher than what it shown.
You can win most mid range duel with it, just remember to pre-fire first until it spin at maximum speed before engaging and watch it melting ppl.
Heck this gun can take on Recluse with perks active before the nerf.
Its nasty and most importantly hella fun to use.
The downside is you cant run and gun with this like you did with HC.

Tried it. Not my style. That's the reason i hated Heavy in TF2 lol. I suppose it could have value in PvE in situation where you only rely on primary ammo. I like hand cannons more. But if i'm not using hand cannons, then i use Cerberus, Bad Juju and Mida. These weapons were made for me, especially Mida.
