Ascendant plane on Nessus

I got a bounty that needs to be done while Ascendant on Nessus. I tried it by going to the Tribute hall and using the portal there but it didn't count the kills.

Is there another way to get to the ascendant plane on Nessus?

While ascendant? Do you mean you have to be high on queensfoil?

You go to the one area where Cabal spawn (can't recall the name of the location at the top of my head) on Nessus and head towards the Lost Sector there. Pop a Queensfoil and go out towards the radiolarian lake to the right of the huge vex structure (NOT the side with the waterfall). You should see some platforms form as you get closer to the edge.

As they said, Queensfoil is how you become ascendant, it doesn't directly have anything to do with the ascendant plane.

I am a bit confused by the replies.

The Quest is "Truth behind the stories" and requires decoding 4 map fragments / quest steps. One of the fragments says "While Ascendant, defeat combatants on Nessus using any Rocket Launcher. Multikills grant the most efficient progress." Requires 50 kills, which is of course going to be a challenge, mainly due to the fact that power ammo is in short supply and rocket launchers - even when fully supplied before starting - don't carry a lot.

QUESTIONS:

1) Are you guys saying I don't need to go into the ascendant plane and that I can do it anywhere so long as I drink the Queensfoil?

2a) If yes, what is the best location to do this?

2b) If no, can someone be a bit more precise about the location for those platforms, which I assume will take me into a portal to the ascendant plane? I know where the lost sector is (the one where you get your first imperials) and the waterfall right next to it, and the very tall round structure. If I start at the waterfall/lost sector, are this instructions to go to the other side of the huge and very tall structure that you normally go up the side towards the waterfall in order to enter it?

3) Which rocket launcher is the most power-ammo-efficient, so that I can do this with the fewest queenfoil bottles?

That's right. As long as it's on Nessus, use the Tincture of Queensfoil and kill any enemies, using a Rocket Launcher.

Artifact's Edge, loads of Vex hanging around in small groups. I found the multikills counted much more than I expected - I was done with that step pretty quickly. Also it's close to a public event so you can restock by rallying at the flag. Artifact's Edge also has a lost sector which also has lots of Vex grouped together.

I think whoever said this is talking about another part of the quest. There is NO portal to the Ascendant plane on Nessus. There are some ascendant platforms that only appear while you are ascendant, and they lead to one of the chests that are also part of the Truth quest. You might have already done it, or you might have it pending. It's at the Cistern somewhere.

3) Which rocket launcher is the most power-ammo-efficient, so that I can do this with the fewest queenfoil bottles?

They're all pretty similar to be honest. The ascendancy buff lasts for half an hour so you should easily get it done with a single bottle. Maybe get one with cluster bombs as that will help getting the multikills if a group isn't so close together.
