Shadowkeep Digital Deluxe edition upgrade?

So, with the -25% sale I was considering just upgrading my base version of Shadowkeep to the deluxe version in order to get the extra 3 season passes cheaper than they would be individually. However, Steam has no option to simply upgrade to the deluxe version; when I attempt to buy the deluxe version, it insists on me buying a second copy of Shadowkeep and paying the full $45.

So, is there something I'm missing, is this working as intended, is there another option (IE use Bungie's site and make an account), or is this something that's broken?

This image from Bungie, if you look at the bottom left, it talks about an upgrade edition. Maybe they will have that option available next week or I am wrong?

It’s working as intended. There is no upgrade package.

You had two options at the time. You chose the standard. There’s no upgrading.

As a consumer, it’s your responsibility to weigh your options before hitting the buy button. Once you buy it, that’s it. You’re done.

Bah, that's weak. Most other games I've played allowed purchase of parts you may have skipped at initial purchase.

You’re able to purchase the season passes at the time of launch for 1k silver. That’s essentially the difference between deluxe and standard.

So you get all 3 season passes for 1k silver? Because my understanding is you would only get that current season, which requires you to pay 3 separate times for the remaining seasons.

Seriously man! I came to know about this 3 season passes from deluxe edition just today. They didn't say/wrote anything like that on steam store page when I bought standard shadowkeep. They only mentioned season of undying. So I thought it was just cosmetics in deluxe.

Now I'm searching for upgrades and can't find any. And the promotion is going to end on 10th Dec. I can't even refund cause of policy period. Hope there is upgrade edition as the other guy said.

Otherwise guess I'll spend my time on RDR2

You can argue, but destiny 2 store page wasn't and still isn't clear. Even under the package info it mentions only season of undying.

You need to go all the way to deluxe store page from package info to read about 4 season passes. Those aren't even highlighted properly like other games store page. Most of the games mention these things on front/base game page.
