For those that don't know, that is the new exotic scout rifle. What do you think made them want to do another exotic scout rifle? I mean thank god it isn't a hand cannon, but I am more excited for the new sidearm. Not only does it look great! But we don't have a lot of side arms to choose from. because bungie hates auto rifles which are the most viable irl , hand cannon was in undying so cant again , maybe pulse rifle in next? good to see a sidearm but wont ever use a silly burst firing glock

Well according to the video, we are getting three exotics. Sidearm, fusion rifle and the scout rifle. We also get a good amount of seasonal weapons and one of them is apparently an auto rifle. This season looks quite good and more story bound than the last.

yes and probably the other two might be behind quests , scout would play the role of eriana vow maybe ? ya but there is no exotic auto rifles in this , hardly few good ones in entire game like suros , hard light , sweet business , and all of them have lame damage drop off in long ranges where as a scout or pulse will shred in pvp which should be the exact opposite , in any fps game assault rifles are always chosen above burst rifles

@4:24 that scout rifle needs 4 HS to kill, thats kinda sucks imo, after the perks active it 2 tap guardian body with AoE, which is not bad, might have some place in teamfights like other chain kill weapons like recluse but gonna have hard time winning a duels using this.
Might be good for PVE ads clearing tho.

Yeah, the activation perk looks like it is going to be a commandable dragonfly.

Correct. Or remove them from the game. We need something because these guns simply do not have a place. Sidearms aren't bad, just kinda outclassed by weapons that don't do the all-rounder stuff. It doesn't have a clear archetype

Maybe they don't want to turn the game into Division 2 where you either use an AR or you quit playing the game cause everything else is trash?

they did the same for pulse and scout rifles in pvp so , in which auto and side arm are thrash sometimes smgs too except recluse , exit , etc

No dude, they aren't trash, just not the meta. Those are NOT the same thing, I wish people would understand this. There is no weapon type in the game that does straight up 30% more dmg than everything else at all ranges.

Auto rifles aren't trash in PvP, they can be quite strong in the right situations. Problem is, that situation is normally better suited for another weapon type, but there is no more gratifying feeling than turning a corner with a spun up sweet business and laying down bodies like Sylvester.

Sidearms are also not too bad. I had some good luck with the full auto elemental ones in the past and this one definitely looks like it is going to be a full auto burster.

it is the meta because bungie made it , just like they made a scout and pulse rifle in season of dawn right now , just like i said they hate auto rifles and as far as situations are concerned in pvp a normal long range pulse vs auto , pulse will win hands down so that does make auto thrash and neglected , has nothing to do with being meta or no , understand this.

Valakadyn or whatever the AR was is really good and Werewolf isn't bad either, and Sweet Business is one of the strongest guns in PvP once you get the Catalyst.

As someone who regularly gets 3+ KD/R with Cerberus+1 in PVP, I have to disagree.
