I am scared to play trails.

I'll start by stating that I am, in no way, a pro at destiny 2. Started playing during new light and did some decent grinding to get good gear for both PVP and PVE. I have a decent KD (1.4) in PVP and can carry my own weight, BUT, I have been observing an increase in the amount of cheaters I come across in both comp and casual playlists. Players with numbered account names just spamming heavy, taking no damage, unlimited supers, instant respawn etc.... the list goes on.

I've never played trials before, so, I was wondering whether it will be worth playing it next season. Also, I feel that since I play in Asian regions, I am more likely to run into cheaters.

Just wanted to get the community's thoughts on this growing epidemic.

Don't worry. You have to complete a triumph to even play Trials, so cheaters can't just make a new account and hop into it. Also, Bungie is going to be making some MASSIVE balance changes next season. As long as you've got a team, hop in.

What would I gain from lying about my KD? it's not even that good and I have nothing to prove.

not because of the cheaters,i never see any,the competition in general,if people are sweating in normal playlists trials is gonna be insane

You're probably lucky or don't pay enough attention when in game because some cheats are more subtle than others. Some cheats aren't that easy to spot, such as aim bot, damage resistance and heavy ammo hacks. On the other hand, some cheats are way too obvious; instant respawns, speed hacks and teleportation to name a few.

nah...unless you play in asia

Lol that's what I said in my post. I play in Asia. That's the main reason I am concerned. Asia region has one of the highest amount of cheaters in almost every game.

Because the info you get in game from the emblem is KDA

You just have to try hard. And that's it. It doesn't appeal to everyone. It will be even more tryhardy than ranked. PvP wise, i personally only dwell in the control game modes. You know, just chilling. That's how i like it. (I only play ranked so i can get the ritual weapons and that's it. Don't care about unbroken title.) Ranked is just a mess. I can rant about it for an hour.

But this, will be even worse. Just use every broken thing there is in the game. And try really hard. Because everyone else also will. It's an end game PvP activity. So everyone has the best weapons and rolls.

(Also the power level is a problem. Can be concerning for some people and maybe that's why you're scared to play it.)

Yeah Bungie needs a more comprehensive UI. The current vault system doesn't even have a filter setting.

Yeah It must have gone down this season. Hardly played any comp and even when I did, I played badly. Like I said, I am just an average joe who is trying to decide whether to get into trials or not.

Not for the first week or two i think, as the build was already authorized to be sent before they decided to change that. At least at that point we won't have people with super high power.
