Celestial Nighthawk Damage?
I just recently got my nighthawk dropped and tryed it out in different pve activities.
In some videos i saw guys dealing over 500k damage with one shot but i only get around 100k.
So does the damage depend on the max health of the enemy or did i just watch old videos and the damage numbers got adjusted?

Yeah the higher power the enemy the higher damage you deal per shot but also the higher their health.
Also other stuff can help increase the damage

Their health doesn't change. The damage always scales back to their light though damage numbers won't reflect that.

Use way of the sharpshooter and aim for the head. I probably have seen way higher numbers which one shot most of the bosses. I think there is two bosses that can survive being shot by Celestial. Fanatic and Thaviks the Depraved. Why these two love to survive your one shot attempts with Celestial? Fanatic has A ♥♥♥♥ TON of health and so does Thaviks.

They also have somewhat difficult headshot hit boxes which also affect your chances for one shot. Both have a quick escape out of bad position (Fanatic has health gating and Thaviks teleports when he takes enough damage)

Some bosses get melted really fast. The final boss in Shatter throne can be hit up to 999,999.

Usually for the one shots the Solar Singe is required. At best you can take about 80% of not Thaviks or Fanatic boss healths unless other weakening properties are applied on the boss. Such as melting point (The shoulder charge attack of Titan from solar top tree) and hunter's Shadow Shot either with or without Mobius quiver.

It also helps that there is no Iron perk for the enemies (And quite honestly I think that thing is super broken thing to have for Fanatic what comes on the tether part of his boss fight)

wait till there is around 20 secs left on the super then hit them in the head. youll deal more damage when your super is near the end of time.

I may be wrong, but I think stacking up bottom tree Golden Gun precision hits actually deals more damage than Celestial, as when I was tackling a Forge ignition at Bergusia, I dealt ~69k, ~86k, and then ~98k damage.

Depends on how old your videos are. From the Shadowkeep patch:

PvE Damage Numbers Display
Goal: To provide players with useful and legible feedback for damage dealt to enemy combatants across many years of Power progression.
Displayed damage numbers for damage dealt to non-Guardian enemy combatants are crunched
Damage dealt is displayed using fewer digits to enhance readability of damage output
Occurrences of displayed damage getting capped at 999,999 should be significantly reduced or eliminated
The exponential curve used to calculate damage numbers for display is replaced with a new linear curve that is built to last for many years
As players grow in Power, displayed damage numbers increase at a much more measured pace than previously
This is a UI update only; player damage output, whether measured as hits to kill, time to kill, or DPS, remains unchanged by this update

You might be doing the same damage, it just looks smaller because of this.
