Are dregs and vandals cabal
They don't fight each other so I reckoned they were and I need to kill them for a quest but it doesn't look like it's giving me credit

no they are fallen, generally cabal all have red coloring, psions and legrionaires and stuff are cabal

Why are they on the same side on earth then, they're supposed to hate each other, they should be attacking each other instead of me

Rule 1 of D2 AI: Shoot each other whenever possible, except when a guardian shows up. At that point, agree to disagree and start shooting the guardian.

I take it you have never seen the mesage "the enemy is moving against each other" it happens in at least two places in EDZ, one of them being to the right of the landing zone in Trostland.
