The game setting and idea is pretty generic
You are a "guardian", how original and you fight aliens in a pretty boring sci fi.

Yeah it looks quality made but lacking soul

Generic like your two hours on record... But to be fair, it's not The Witcher, but also to be fair, that was never the goal (of Destiny 2).

Edit: Text addition

LOL... Where's your "usually" gameplay time with Destiny 2? - Generally, what do you wanna say? Where's the sense (of logic) in smarter before, than after?

Another game taking place in the solar system? REALLY?
Not another one!

Other than trolling.
there is no trolling here. The point is that the premise of the game is utter ♥♥♥♥. Just because game is generic doesn't mean anyone who voices this opinion is a troll.

Examples of non generic Sci-fi: Star Wars, Star Trek, WarHammer 40K, Mass Effect. This game just tries to be everything and fails at these things

Then go write a review and quit wasting discussion space with your opinions if you dont want to hear other's responses to them.

this game just pure chill shooting.
Illusive Soul Feb 19, 2020 @ 10:30am
but yeah, runing around with guns and just shoot anything that move, maybe adding something more fun inside might be nice too,"imagine you can play solo mode and command NPC like mass effect"

Star Wars and Star Trek are also very generic too

If you think the game is generic, why not check out this brief summary of the history of the Destiny universe and the events of D1 and D2 prior to Shadowkeep?

That's right. It's a 4 hour video. It literally takes 4 hours to briefly skim over everything. "Generic"? Yeah, sure...

Star Trek can be nailed as generic if you try hard although it was one of the 1st. But Star Wars is nothing generic about it. It was how Sci-fi came to exist and there is no setting like that but many try to copy from it. Star Wars is the original sci fi
Star Wars seems generic to me, just your average space fight stuff

You realise you can just enjoy somethign for what it is? Destiny doesn't try to be "the next thing in scifi". It is an MMORPG based in a scifi universe that lends way more from games like world of warcraft than star wars?
The opening missions might be a very simple "go here and shoot that" that is true. But once you spend more time in the game and get to the aspects that require teamwork like Nightfalls, Pit of Heresy and Raiding, maybe you'll udnerstand why people like playing Destiny.

Oh jesus "StarWars the original scifi"

We're done here lol had another comment but with that statement its not even worth discussing.

ok
You can simplify destiny to the level of guy fights stuff, you can do the exact same for Star Wars

Destiny is not a MMORPG. I suggest you find out what a MMORPG is. Or an RPG, even.

Yeah, so instead of adding 0 facts to your comment maybe you should go ahead with what the original Sci fi is then? Oh and pls don't google the very 1st thing that was ever created to later on become sci fi genre precursor. Everyone knows Star Wars was made in the 70's and that is what made Sci fi what it is today. Also, you can write your exact comment about anything and look like I have some knowledge of something whereas in reality you have 0 lol
War of the worlds is what made sci fi what it is today, not star wars
RustPickle Feb 19, 2020 @ 11:30am
When you boil it down like that, EVERY game is pretty generic.
Chaxis Feb 19, 2020 @ 11:56am
The raids and dungeons of Destiny r pretty extraordinary. They give a really interesting take on Sci-Fi.
