How do you get Graviton Lance Catalyst

can you still get the catalyst or nah? i've been dead playing both crucible and strike many times and still got nothing on completing the match or its just a very-very rare one to get?

All catalysts are rare drops. You don't farm for them, it's completely pointless. RNJesus will bless you when your time comes.

I got Catalyst dropped from random mob on Tangled Shore. These days I'm upgrading Lance to Masterwork and gotta say, weapon is complete and utter ♥♥♥♥. It is useful for maybe clearing trash mobs with level much lower than yours. It barely can scratch any elite mob and does peanuts in terms of damage to bosses. Literally any purple pulse is just better.

i already have broadswoard, blast furnace etc. but i try it out in casual matches it kinda pretty good for me atleast. just wanted to try out how the gun feels if it was masterworked.

It is a random drop, but some catylists require you to do certain things, like Suros or Mida require Crucible playlist.

For future reference you can go to the Triumphs tabs Account then Exotic Catalyst an it will tell you how to acquire every Catalyst. It will say found in ... activity.

Why would you use a primary on bosses anyways? That's what specials and heavies are for.

I mean there are more than enough ways to clear trash faster and more reliably, I just don't see the point of this weapon.

It used to be pretty good in crucible back when pulses were meta.

Still better than it used to be too. It was really crap on first release.

actually not really, just use it for Alter of Sorrows waves, you'll get the catalyst built up fairly quickly with that.

you can also go inside the K1 Revelation lost sector there and there's ~20 or so Hive just standing in a tight group right by the entrance, makes for easy multi kills.

It dropped for me a few weeks ago. Yesterday (dropped) another one. It's absolutly random, but I had a lot's of luck with The Ordeal so far.

Generating a Masterwork is no big deal, just go to Sorrow's Harbour (on the Moon) and do some events there.

I've been doing it with Hive waves and it's by far the most tedious catalyst I've done. I haven't worked on Prometheus Lens yet because of it.

The green room in the Whisper quest spawns unlimited shadow thrall. Use that to grind it out quickly.

Yup. This is where I grind out literally every "kill x enemies" quest.

Graviton Lance catalyst was earned during when we had Factions. Since we don’t have those anymore it’s impossible to get it.
